Many analysts which, IMO, are not as savvy as some on this board, but have Two WR's may be available at our pick. One is Dwayne Jarrett, MR. All-Time WR stat leader at Southern Cal. He is falling b/c he has a slow 40. So did Rice, Irvin and KeyKey. All were pretty good in my book. The second is another physical wideout in Robert Meacham from Tenn.

Point: TO is unpredictale, Glenn is older, The three Amigos are somewhat ? (Crayton, Austin, Hurd) Do we go WR?

Or do we go secondary.

Aaron Ross, TX, CB Darelle Revis, CB, Pitt, or safety Merriweather, Miami, Griffin TX or Nelson, Fla

This is a deep draft at FS and we can probably get one in the second. But do we need one with Watkins and Hamlin?

Or knowing Jerrah, trade down and get Blalock, OG, TX, Aaron Sears, OG, Tenn and maybe still get a shot at Ross?

If you had a pick and it must be a likely one, make your claim and say who you want at #22.

I want Jarrett or Meacham if they are there, if not I want the trade down for Blalock or Ross.

In the 2nd I want a NT, maybe Mebane from Cal or Mcbride from Tenn. It sure would be great IF tank Tyler falls to us!

I like Tenn O players. Historically they have some real playmakers.

Meachem has definitely become the frontrunner for whom I would like to see the Cowboys draft most (realistically). He has the size, the speed, he's polished, he has a great work-ethic, etc.

I do like reading up on other potential draftees though. Don't want to become so attached to one particular player just to have JJ & Company go in another direction and have your heart torn out (ex: Stephen Jackson).

Wonder if Bum Jr could pull a SD string and swap in round one for SD's 2 or both 3rds. I would take that in a second. We would drop 8 spots and get an OL.

i'de love to get Meachem in the 1st and would be ecstatic if Merriweather fell to us in the 2nd because of character issues, even if we have to trade up...Merriweather could play the slot in the nickel, contribute on special teams while still competing for a starting role

So if Ginn, Jarrett and Meacham are there at 22, and we want a WR, we trade down right?

Likely trade candidates would be Tampa with two seconds and SD with 2 thirds or NYJ with 2 seconds, but Mangini is shrewd and doesn't seem to be a dealer. I bet Wade can pull a SD string or Chucky would be willing to take a gamble for one of these WR. All of these teams need a WR, which is good for us!

Let's have a BIG ORANGE draft!

Sears won't be there for our 2nd unless we do some dealing to move way up in round 2 to get him.

I don't think it's good for us if we are trading with teams with the same needs, WR's or CB's. I think ideally we would want to trade with someone that has a need that we don't. There are still going to be teams between us with different needs so maybe it's not really an issue.

I disagree. There isn't much difference between Ginn, Meacham, Bowe or Jarrett. All are great college players. If that position is deep and Dallas is not sold on one player, which They aren't at 22, gain some picks and just get one of them. We don't have a must pick so we need to get as many players as we can and sort them out in pads! SD and TB are NFC teams, but they are not in the East, and it is not like comparing S. Jackson to J. Jones.

Ginn/Jarrett or Nelson/Ross

My heart says Ginn or Jarrett, but my mind says we have to add a playmaker to def. backfield. If I thought we could get Merriweather in the second. then I would definately go WR in the first.

Given Henry's play lately, a CB might just be the smartest way to protect our defense. I like Ross or Houston.

I am in the same boat. WR pick is sexy, but we need secondary help badly and I always like OL. I want someone to push Henry. I tell you Wade better get some production out of all this talent on D b/c if not his days are numbered.... He may not last till next year if they don't make the playoffs.

We need to go CB. In my opinion, here is why,Henry is getting up there in age and has been playing with bad knees. Glenn is on his last leg,so to speak. T-Newman,well,he will be a freeagent at the end of the season. If we draft Ross, for Example,he can compete with Glenn for the nickle spot and after that,we can have him start with Newman,if he is resigned, then move Henry to the nickle or possibly FS.

We need a WR capable of starting in a year or two.

We probably won't need a CB capable of doing that for at least two years, if not three.

To me the choice is clear.

Our offense has to start taking priority with this franchise one day.

We might have got lucky with Romo, but we truly dodged a bullet by getting an undrafted QB.

In two years or less, we will have a starting WR duo of a seventh round choice and yet another undrafted player?

That's much too much to bet on.

We have spent enough on the defense. It is time to get our offense some much needed talent.

And if Phillips' scoring defense is an indication, we will not be a dominant defense. San Diego's defense for all it's "greatness" still surrendered over 300 points last year.

We will need to score points.

It's funny how those that don't want Ginn...would want Ross.

Must have missed Ginn completely undressing Ross on national TV last fall. It was pitiful.

We could do alot worse then to add some much needed depth at OG.

If the best player is a CB at 22 then take the CB if the best player is a WR take the WR

Glenn at most has another year- he has got to start slowing down soon. Henry is 31 and has had injury problems the last 2 years. Reeves and Jones are not the answers. We NEED a CB that can at least play nickel this year.
