We were all dissappointed with the release of Laron Byrd, but the Panthers have a guy on their practice squad named Stephen Hill that was a 2012 2nd round pick.

He was on IR last season, but here are his measureables:

Stephen Hill
Height: 6040
Weight: 215

40 Yrd Dash: 4.28
20 Yrd Dash: 2.50
10 Yrd Dash: 1.49
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 14
Vertical Jump: 39 1/2
Broad Jump: 11'01"

20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.48
3-Cone Drill: 6.88

If there are guys like this available for all teams to sign, I can see why the Cowboys were not too worried about losing Byrd.

HIll couldn't navigate a paper route or catch a cold if his life depended on it.

super athlete ...love that part. Not a football player. You have to take a flyer but dallas as had a 4.19 guy and all he ever did was return one kickoff back for a TD.

The best part was it was aganist the Eagles...heheheheheheheheeh!

P.S. please don't make me look it up...just trust me it happened.:)

I'm just thing that you have 2 WR that came out in the 2012 draft.

Both are big a 6-4 and 215/220.

Hill has 45 catches for 594 yards.
Byrd has 1 catch for 8 yards.

Hill ran a 4.28 forty.
Byrd didn't.

It's funny because if you type "looks like tarzan plays like jane" into google images it brings up pictures of Quinton Coples...another Jet.

Oh and Jerry Rice ran a 4.71 forty.

I'm an ACC guy so I remember him well. Played at Georgia Tech where they run an option offense. His only route was "go." He finished his career with 49 receptions. Total.

Over drafted based on his rare physical gifts. Unfortunately those gifts do not include elite eye hand coordination.

Look at his way out of NY what he said. His agent blamed the organization and the QB situation. He himself blamed the NY media.

Simply put....the guy cannot play football well and is already making excuses for why he hasn't been successful. No thanks.

LOL. Amazing athlete but a very poor football player. Friend is a huge Jet fan and he whined about Hill all the time.

Except Coples can actually play, just not at OLB. He had drop 20 lbs to 270 to just be mediocre at that position. The guy is a 4-3 lineman, period.

Hill said last week the media got him cut, not his hands. You can have him.

Yes, he returned a bad onside kick for a TD if I remember correctly.

According to Wikipedia, it was the quickest TD scored in NFL history when it happened. He scored 3 seconds into the game since it was the opening kickoff. I vaguely remember that now.

Yep. Eagles tried an onside kick to start the game. They had success with that play against us on opening day of the 99 season. The "pickle juice game" for those that remember and Andy Reid's debut against the Cowboys. They tried it again on the opening kick off several years later and Randall Williams read it like a book. To this day it stands as the quickest TD in NFL history.

Williams was a pre-season Hall of Famer. Dude was beast in the pre-season and daisy once the games counted. Too bad, too. He had ELITE speed. That guy was a like a frickin' rocket. He signed with the Raiders after he left here and faded into obscurity.

I was actually at that game. Had a guy in an Eagles jersey sitting right next to me. Truly one of the most pleasurable moments of my life. And I can't really say I didn't act like an *** at that moment.

Anything less than urinating on him and you behaved properly.
