Adam Archuleta signs with Washington Commanders terms not disclosed:

Terms weren't disclosed, but we know Archuleta received 10 million in guarantees which is a ludicrous amount of money for the slower less effective version of Roy Williams. Archuleta couldn't cover a 75 year old man. Now the Commanders have two safeties (Sean Taylor being the
other one) who hit hard, but are not the most discipline of players when it comes to coverage. Another horrible signing by the Commanders.

Final Rating: 1 1/2

Antwaan Randle El signs with Washington Commanders 6 years 31 million:

Randle El has just made the biggest mistake of his life. He had an offer on the table from the Bears for 6 years and 18 million (8 million guaranteed) that he should have taken. I know what you are thinking, “Are you smoking Rob? Would you turn down an extra 13 million
dollars?”. Not if it was guaranteed, but NFL contracts are not guaranteed and the chances El gets all 31 million are remote. The Commanders gave El 10 million in guarantees, so in essence for 2 million more he chose the Commanders and is destine to be the next Peerless Price.

lol thats funny. I think randle-el will be the next peerless price. Randel-El only had 1 TD, which is awful for a #2 WR. As for Archuleta. Archuleta is absolute trash in coverage with only 3 INTS in 5 seasons, Two much money shipped out for guys that IMO arent that great.

I'm not going to bash their signings. I think they signed all solid players. There isn't one that really strikes fear in me....unless it's Randel El as a PR. But I think they have improved as a team.

The only major problem I have with what Snyder is doing.....blowing draft picks. He continues to give up mulitple picks for single players. Sooner or later that will come back to haunt him.

Of course, they could continue to find guys like Cooley in the later rounds.

Gibbs and Beathard used to always give up draft picks as well with the theory of going with performances you know over the luck of the draft and misses on picks (ex. Heath Shuler). Its a theory.

It was different pre-salary cap.

Now, you need cheap, young, quality backups.

And I can understand getting a guy like Lloyd for a third...pick for pick....but multiple picks?

They continue to handicap themselves. Again, in a short sprint, this isn't a bad philosophy. But in the long run, it could come back to haunt them.
