My thinking is someone will get left out. Might need to cut a guy or trade one of emWith receivers making the most of their snaps and guys making it back from injury, what’s your thinking on Mingo? He was the “belle of the ball” in camp but that doesn’t necessarily mean he sees the field. Have Flournoy and Tolbert made such great showings that Mingo gets lost in the mix?
I thought they were measured in "Jones"?I thought that measurement type was used exclusively for Jerry and his fat son.
Nobody will pay a 3rd for him. He will get a contract and our comp probably a 5th at bestIf we could get a higher draft pick from a trade if Tolbert than a comp pick then let’s do it.
Correct. He makes some splash plays now and then, but he has reached his ceiling, and it's very low. I was very thrilled with what Flourney did in preseason; it was easy to see the guy had some mad skills in lots of different areas. Tolbert has never shown any of this, in my opinion. This is why I stand by my assessment that cutting him and taking a chance of losing him was a ludicrous decision, even though it didn't cost them. The front office really works my nerves with how they play favorites. This is how we know that they're really not that serious about winning.Agreed.
And if I can’t find anyone see him putting forth insufficient effort on plays, I’m sure the coaches and players can as well.
He’s in a contract year and they’re not going to re-sign him at season’s end, so I’d keep younger talent under contract over him.
Tolberts demise has been grossly exaggerated by many. He does what they asking him pretty well. He's a good core special teams player on top of it. Some team that needs a slot wr or a returner would want him. It's crazy but know what? He's gotten better little bits at a time each year. Last year he would never have madecthe sideline catch he made vs GB. He showed great spacial awareness on that play.Depth at WR is great to have.
Folks were *****ing about Tolbert all off-season, but he's proven to be an asset. Mingo might surprise some people too. Flournoy has stepped up nicely.
It's an injury prone position, and the team needs to be able to line up 4 WR's. Dallas was missing 2 just last game.
They definitely can be criticized for cutting Flournoy.Correct. He makes some splash plays now and then, but he has reached his ceiling, and it's very low. Lol, they aren't moving Mingo to tight end.Tolbert makes a few catches. Mi go does bot. Perhaps we move Mingo to TE
I would be happy with a 5th comp pick for him. I’d be happy with a trade for someone’s 5th rounder. That way we would be guranteed a pick higher than 7th.Nobody will pay a 3rd for him. He will get a contract and our comp probably a 5th at best
That's all henis good for....Lol, they aren't moving Mingo to tight end.

Flournoy? Yes.
Tolbert. No.
Mingo has another year left on his rookie contract.
Tolbert will be a free agent.
Seems like we've moved from separation WRs to guys who can win one on one battles.I think Mingo could thrive in this offense. He was a possession slot receiver at Ole Miss and a good blocker in the run game. Even with Dallas depth at WR, he's got a little different skill set than the rest of the room. I could see him getting some time in the slot on 11 personnel with Lamb and Pickens playing the perimeter and being a force in the running game.
Based on???Mingo is worthless.
Based on his actual NFL record in actual games. Barely 50% catch percentage as a rookie (way worse last year, worst among CAR receivers), under 10 yards per reception (worst among CAR receivers). How often do highly-drafted receivers (or any receivers) perform that miserably for two seasons and suddenly break out? I don't care about training camp happy-talk, I care about actual performance.Based on???
Because the training camp reports were pretty much the exact opposite.
