Parcells assistants in his last stint with the Jets vs today with the Cowboys.

(btw, this isn't a knock on Parcells...he has been brilliant with his selection of assistants and probably because of their brilliance, he actually paid attention to what they had to say)

Offensive Coordinator: Charlie Weiss vs Sean Payton. OUCH.

Quarterbacks coach: Dan Henning (who did an AMAZING job with Vinny and Ray Lucas) vs. David Lee

Offensive backfield coach: Maurice Carthon (who has a great future) vs Anthony Lynn

Defensive Coordinator: Bill Belichick vs Mike Zimmer. OUCH AGAIN.

Linebackers coach: Al Groh vs Gary Gibbs

Defensive Line Coach: Romeo Crennel vs Kacy Rogers

The list of NY Jets coaches is populated with head coaches, ex head coaches and future head coaches...

i agree, we need a total overhaul of coordinators. Our offense is horribly predictable, our defense can't generate a pass rush even with good young players. we need a complete overhaul of schemes, and focus on offense in the draft.

FWIW-Holmgren's initial downfall in Seattle was just this-until he went back to his roots 2 years ago and hired former Niner assistants.

Parcells seems to be in a similar situation as Holmgren out of the gate. IF he starts to realize his mistakes(i.e. MAYBE he'll give in to a GM like Ron Wolf being hired), things could just turn around.

Jimmy's assistants in Miami weren't too great either. Kippy Brown as OC was a joke.

Same happened with Ditka in N'Awlins-his OC came out of HS(really), and his DC didn't have any experience in football.

I know Bill didn't like Warhop, so he moved Soprano to O-Line coach, but what has he shown?. They remind me of the Clay Shiver years when we were always getting pushed around.
