like many of us said eli is effective as a game manager.

when he cant hide behind a power run game he struggles

let him run our offense and see how effective he is. no one is saying eli is a bum but his play is exaggerated

A QB needs a playmaker at WR, period.

McNabb really does do a great job for the WRs he has had over the years.

Cowboy fans are trained extremely well by the media.

Anything can change in 1 week.

true. i have to give mcnabb his props he has done more with less then just about any qb in the league.

pinkston and some of the other recievers he had when philly was on top a few yrs back arent even in the league anymore.

im not a hater i have no problem giving props when its warranted but the eli is overrated. a solid qb, but overrated

Mmmmmmmmm......I dont know. He's pretty close IMO. If he was on a bad team, he'd become a backup within two years.

What a QB needs is what McNabb got today and allows him to get by without a lot of playmakers at WR.

An O-Line that gives him time to make the plays.

Romo doesn't get there here, down the stretch, and as you saw today neither did Eli and what happens? They play like crap.

The sooner people realise that solid O-Line play, protecting their QB and keeping him clean, is the most important part of any offensive gameplan the sooner they're going to realise what will help a QB like Tony rise to the occassion and be able to make the plays you're looking for him to make.

Look back to last year for the Giants. The O-Line played great for Eli down the stretch and allowed him to make the plays he needed to, when he needed to make them, and that helped them get to the dance and win it.

This year they played more like our O-Line does down the stretch and Eli played poorly and the Giants are one and done because of it.

Or maybe his WR's arnt as bad as people have continued to try to make them out to be, and Reid's system has made him.

True too.

Kevin Curtis is severely underrated. He is pretty much like Wes Welker except a little bigger.

It was a she that did it. And it was because you bumped a week old thread.

You made the right decision by creating a new thread.

The thread is still in the Fan Zone, so you can still link to it.

He can't win without Plexiglass and McNabb will lose to the Cardinals without a playmaker. Fitzgerald is the difference maker in that game...

Welcome to another edition of "I'm going to make sweeping judgments based on the last game I saw played." The fact that the Eagles defense did a number on both of these guys is somehow overlooked. Yesterday, Flacco was deemed better than Tony, and today, Eli is supposedly worse.

i totally disagree look what mcnabb did with guys like pinkston and that bum freddie mitchell

neither reciever is in the league still and look where mcnabb got with them

the eagles have never gone out and gotten mcnabb a true number 1 wr except for when they had owens. after he left they never tried to replace him.

i be suprised if they make a move at boldin or tj this off-season. theyve never fully surrounded him and westbrook with the talent on offense

neither eli nor mcflabb are half of what romo are

Both sides have a better defence and both have a better oline

also - desean jackson is a game changer that mcnabb has, he is one quick dude and we should have taken him ...

Word. This forum needs to separate the netted bouncy ball room from the grown up room.

thats only the case if my stance changes

i never changed my stance on eli. it has nothing to do with just this week, i said the same thing in the eli thread that was posted a week ago

so i dont know who youre post applies to

the thread was made only to back up what i and others said when we were argued down. eli is a game manager.

make eli have to beat you and win the game and chances are he wont.

the giants run game is ver effective and hard to attack but if if you can force eli to have to have make plays he flop more often then not

I'm not trying to fire any shots or be insulting, but you've got to be joking when you say the Eagles will lose to the Cardinals without a playmaker. If you don't recognize any playmakers on the eagles, you're blind. Not to mention the fact that "playmakers" come on both sides of the ball. In fact defensive playmakers win ballgame too.

Anyway, there are commonly more than one factor that determines which team will be victorioius.

He's certainly won more playoff games.

Me, I'd rather have some playoff wins than gaudy fantasy statistics.
