Gary Hogeboom and Jimmy Johnson were contestants. Eddie George was on one episode as a visitor for his wife, who was a contestant. The new season just began and Alan Ball is a contestant. I feel like I am forgetting someone. Barely interesting enough to post, but thought I'd share.

He managed to have a 9 year career in the league though...he pulled it off

You're forgetting former Offensive Lineman Steve Wright, who was on the "Redemption Island" season about 6 years ago.

Ball is off to a shaky start this season. He's an actual fan of the show and is in good physical condition, so he may stand a chance to do well, but he's playing a little too hard too fast for the first episode.

It actually gets great ratings and is one of the networks largest moneymakers. With that being said, Ball is as bad on the show as he was in Dallas. Perhaps the Worst Cowboy starter ever.

I started watching Survivor when I heard Jimmy was going to be on the show. Was hooked ever since.

Alan will be voted off soon. Another one of those drama guys. Plus no one will vote an ex NFL player to win the million.

I wouldn't bet against him. He survived a few roster cuts with just about zero ability.

Ball must have drawn inspiration from being thrown on a 25 yard deep island every other play by Wade.

For the life of me I will still never understand that alignment. I recall an MS paint thread at the time with the opponent at midfield and Alan Ball in the crowd behind the endzone.

Survivor is awesome. There have been some great seasons of late, so they can still deliver.

Alan needs to turn it down about 8 notches. I know he wants to break up a blossoming power couple but he's just making himself a target. No one's going to trust him in this tribe, only way he survives is if there's an early tribe switch and he has better chemistry elsewhere
