What the heck... Does anyone here think Bum's son could do wonders for our defense and allow Jerry Jones to grab the next latest and greatest offensive mind to tutor Romo...

What do you all think about a change of scenery for ol' Wade the blade... He does have HC experience, and he can work magic for a defense... He knows the 3-4 well too.

Remember this Zoners, his Buffalo Bills team would have played the Rams in the Super Bowl if it wasn't for the Music City Miracle in 1999. Buffalo had the #1 ranked defense that year (4th vs. run, 1st vs. pass).

gimme some thoughts?

I think our offensive staff is fantastic, and needs no change. You will struggle to find a more imaginative group in the entire league.

edit: Why did I post this? lmao @ myself......

I'd certainly wouldnt mind Wade Phillps as our HC. Not only would the team be a top 5 D under him in yards allowed but we would get lots of pressure on the QB which obviously leads to sacks and turnovers. that is the type of coach we need!!!

I personally like wade phillips. He has had success everywhere he has gone. He was almost a dc here in dallas in 88.

I can hear people calling up the ticket already after his first loss saying things like how can you coach without wearing a headset..etc...

I dont think he is candidate anymore for hc positions. He royally screwed up the bills qb postion in 99.

That bills team had a shot that year.

If Parcells steps down in a couple of weeks look for Les Miles to fly to Dallas and possibly Mike Singletary to move back to Texas to take over the defense.

WOW!!!

Singletary as DC... hmmm

Did you see his command when coaching last year's college prospects at the Senior Bowl... He had those guys working hard!

He's assistant hc at San Fran but his contract is up after the year and his son just commited to his alma mater, Baylor, so he may be looking to move back to Texas to be near his children who are both at Baylor presently.

The Music City Miracle was a wildcard game. Had they won, they would've had to win 2 more games to get to the Super Bowl.

I'd be in favor of bringing in Wade Phillips. I think this defense with a real 3-4 mind, and one or two more players can be dominant for years.

that's right my mistake... but that defense looked unpenetrable... who in that AFC playoff pool was better than the Titans or Bills?? Those were the top 2 teams I remember.

Me thinks that someone has started celebrating the "New Year" a tad early.

I watched the "Wade Phillips show" in Buffalo...

Color me less than impressed.

I think the guy is a decent coordinator but as a head coach he's a bit of a buffoon. I can just imagine what fans from the other teams would say about that hire.

The Jaguars were 14-2 that year, they were pretty good but the Titans beat them, they murdered Miami 62-7 in the divisional playoffs.

WP as a HC, a buffoon??? Well, he's not going to give you any Billick like podium brilliance, but his defense couldn't be any more vanilla than a Parcells system.

I'd just like to see something different in the months that count... He is a fantastic coordinator... his past track record proves it...
