From Fox Sports - this was as different as I've ever seen and highest I've ever seen Tony in a national article which really surprised me.

10. Ryan
9. Rivers
8. Roethlisberger
7. Eli
6 Peyton
5. Romo
4. Wilson
3. Brady
2. Luck
1. Rodgers

But this was the shocker - I read a lot of the comments ( 322 as of today) and that's where haters usually light Romo up but I only read 2 idiots who said he didn't belong in the top ten and they immediately got shut down by others. Some sample comments such as:

"I hate the Cowboys, but that dude can play..."
"Eh, it wouldn't bother me if he won a ring, guys' been a whipping boy for ten years and took it like a man."
"People hate on him but he seems like a pretty cool dude."

There's no question that he really changed public perception last year. His performance also led him to come into the public eye more and on social media so that people get to know what we already know and was mentioned recently here -- who wouldn't want to have a couple of beers with Tony Romo.

No time to rest and enjoy it though - time to work and grind and push and get it to the next level.

This is what most fans of other teams say today. It is so true. Tony has had some of the worst luck and always took a lot a **** because of his position and the team he plays for and the lack of success but I think people are coming around on him because of his toughness and the fact that he is a good QB when he has talent(not just names) around him. It's funny because I live in NJ and a lot of Giants fans even say they wouldn't mind seeing Tony win the big one. The only other guy I ever heard of Giants fans respecting was 20 years ago with Emmitt Smith. He gained respect of all Giants fans in 93 the last game of the regular season.

He is a cool dude too. Him and Witten are buddies and are awesome. I got both of their autos at the Hall of Fame game in 2010 when they played the Bengals and a funny story was I got Wittens auto before the game on a ball and then I waited around after and hopped over the gate where the players walk and got Dez, then Miles on the same ball, then Tony and Witt where walking together........I asked Tony for his auto and he signed it and then he went to hand it to Witten and I said "hold on, I don't want his auto". Tony looked at me as if I had two heads and said "are you sure because he will be here some day", then I said "he's a TE, he's no QB".....with the two of them looking at me like I was completely nuts I turned the ball over and told them I was just kidding with them and that I had already gotten it on the ball and the two of them just started cracking up.

PS, When I got Wittens auto I was calling for him and he actually was already walking away and then turned came back and signed it. It reminded me of the time I got Don Mattinglys auto the same exact way on his retirement day, Donnie had already made it past all the fans and was 10ft away from me inside the stadium and he heard me call for him and he walked back to me and signed a ball and then went back on his way. I guess the reason I am saying all this is because to me when a player can go out of their way to make a fans day, or a memory forever it just shows the type of person they are and they deserve everything good they get because not only did they earn it but they went out of their way sometime when they didn't have to. Anyways bottom line is Romo and Witten are two awesome and down to earth guys who really care about others and no matter what happens win or lose they deserve the best because that is what they are. Sorry for the rant.

At this point Romo's play has been so consistent that the naysayers can do nothing but concede that he's at the LEAST a top 10 QB.

I have a friend whose an Eagles fan that said he would only take Rodgers and Brady over Romo but outside of me he'll take that with him to the grave.

How does Wilson keep getting on these lists?

Honestly Wilson had a pretty bad post season but he is a very good QB. He can move around and bye time and has won games with his legs but he is also a very accurate QB. I would say he is a top 10 QB throwing from the pocket. He gets a misperception that he can only throw on the run because of his height but it couldn't be any further from the truth. You also have to remember that he has 0 weapons at WR and TE until this year with the trade for Graham.

From five years ago when the Dallas offensive line slid off the Richter Scale completely...this is the group of offensive guards for 2015:

2015: Zack Martin, Ronald Leary, La'el Collins, Mackenzy Bernadeau

I can easily see why, now!

Throw in Smith, Frederick, and Free...yea, sure looks to be why.

I think that the public narrative of Romo is changing, its just a shame that it took so long.

Dude has been an amazing QB and hasn't gotten any credit. He's been literally everything you could want from a player, especially off the field. He's a great person.

Remember the stories of him changing someone's tire on the side of the road, and taking that homeless guy to see a movie?

Truly classy.

We'll miss him.
