have you seen barber play a full season , completely at full-time , NO. Was he not one of the top touchdown scorers in 2006, yes. So i could not say he is able to and no one can say for sure that he is not.

Pete Banizak scored a lot of 2 yard TD's too. MBIII is not Dorsett who scores from 70yds out

No, I have seen him get worn out at the end of the season after NOT playing full-time all season and I have seen our coaching staff work to keep him OUT of early season games so that he will be fresher longer...

What does it matter that he was one of the top touchdown scorers...you know most of those were from the 5yl or less...

So while I can't say for sure that he won't be able to handle it, I have a lot of evidence that he won't...

ill watch you all ride the bandwagon express after barber shows what he can do as a true starter. They'll be plenty of room for everyone, as there is every year. Im not sayin he'll be lights out, but im saying he's good enough for an offense that doesnt need to rely soley on a runningback. On a higher not, we're filling the gaps and this should be a promising year. :beer2:

You have to go with a fit on your team. With our offense and our players the better fit is Jones.

yet you failed to notice he ran over a hundred yard on a defense that did not allow that much in the playoffs, yet to fail to see that any good defense adjusts and can stop a running back no matter how illusive. Ask adrian peterson when he played dallas, and many more who were shut down in the 3rd 4th quarter. Keep absorbing what the media says and using it as your own thoughts.

lol, dude, or mam (if this is Barber's mom) I don't get ESPN, I have not read the Dallas morning news in over a year and don't live in range of Dallas TV stations so saying Im getting this from the media is ridiculous.

You keep coming up with these new excuses as to why Barber is good and why he has not shown it....Barber was very inconsistent last year...some times he was great sometimes he could buy a yard....I LOVE THE GUYS HEART...but to say he is a full time back is ridiculous. He has never reached a thousand yards which is kind of what you would expect for a decent full time running back, the coaching staff CLEARLY has concerns with his durability and endurance...while he has shown flashes of greatest, he has also shown that he tires at the end of the season some...when a running game becomes even MORE important....comon admit it...if you could have your way Barber would not be a full time back....you know its true.

Um what playoff team did he rush for over a hundred against? Im not seeing it....

Second half adjustments have NOTHING to do with what we are talking about...

Jerry all but admitted that Mendenhall was higher rated back ,( someone capable of carrying the the ball 20 times a game and being the starter ) so why do draft someone who can't start ? This is Sherman Williams(or Julius or Lassic) all over again!

The NFL is a far different world now than then. Barber cannot carry it 25-27 times a game for 16 games. Add all of the carries and touches, and Felix may add up to a full time player.
Plus, it turns out passing on a WR in Rd1 was what everyone else did too. Now maybe we have to trade up a tiny bit in Rd2...maybe.

And that's ultimately how this draft will end up, it'll be judged on overall production and drafting a part time player over a full time one who is better just never makes sense

But the full time player will probably not play full time, injury not withstanding. In fact Felix will actually probably be on the field more.

So how does this argument hold up?
