You know what would REALLY suck?

Next year's draft, the Lions are on the clock with the pick we traded them...

and since the team is playing like crap it's actually a decently high pick (I'm hopeful we won't finish TOO terribly this year)

and sitting there for the taking will be Michael Crabtree.

Yes, that would really suck.

I know, I know... "But Roy is a proven player" yada yada yada. I'd rather take my chance spending ONE first on Crabtree instead of a first, third and sixth on RW11.

I like Roy and think he has potential to really be a big time WR, but his game is far from complete and he needs to really work on his route running to be elite.

Or even a worse case scenario, we end up tanking the season (like we wish Cleveland had done last year and Buffalo a couple of years before, but they screwed us) and some elite offensive or defensive lineman would have been there for the taking.

I think we overpaid for RW11 (not by A LOT, but a little more then I would have liked to give up for him), but it'll be a lot worse if that pick ends up in the top 10.

Ah man... I think I'm gonna be sick.

*happy thoughts, happy thoughts*...

If Crabtree drops that far than there was a reason he fell that far and we most likely wouldn't have took him anyways.

We got a really good receiver. It was a smart move for now and the future.

I have been on record and stated that I didn't think we needed to get Roy Williams.

I also stated that Roy Williams is not going to fix what is really wrong with this team, which is a crisis in leadership.

However, there is no question that Roy Williams is an upgrade.

Jerry rolled the dice and it's to early to tell if it's crap. I'm really glad we are melting down early this year, it gives us time to get it together later on, hopefully...:pray::pray::pray:

Cowboys need OL and DL before any skill players, including RW.

I'd take a shot of Focus and Enthusiasm over any player.

Dang Catch, you must have to pee often considering the crazy amount of Koolaid you've been drinking.

Seriously, "If Crabtree drops that far than there was a reason he fell that far"?

You're already Mickey Spagnoling it to justify your homerism?

And what if that pick ends up being - say - 11th in the draft? If Crabtree gets taken there would it really be a big drop in the draft?

C'mon dude, quit drinking the koolaid. The RW11 trade COULD end up being good for the future, but it could also come back and bite us in the arse.

I don't think your F&E thing is gonna catch on.

You need to go with Fire & Desire. It's a helluva lot catchier and and has a lot less syllables.

Im buzzed from drinking honestly. I didnt even think about us tanking the season because I really just cant comprehend not being a playoff team.

Either way im just as happy with Roy as I would be with Crabtree.

Roy has barely scratched his potential and I believe we will get the most out of his talent until he loses focus like the rest of these guys.

Also our boy Miles Austin will be a bigtime player if we just give him opportunities. Hes our Felix Jones at the receiver position.

Fire and Desire sounds like a George Michaels and Michael Bolton band.

I don't think "Comprehend" was the word you meant to use.

I know what you mean though. But I couldn't see us getting beat 34-14 to a 1 win team the week after getting beat by the freakin' cardinals either.

Now, I really can see us ending up 6-10. If we keep playing the way we've played the last 4 games (yes, we played like crap against the bengals too, eventhough we won) then how many wins can you see us getting? It won't be very many.

Focus and Enthusiasm is boring.

ANd sadly, I think Michales and Bolton may have more passion for their "professions" then the cowboys players have for theirs.

Right now I think this looks like a 9-7 team. I cant believe im saying that.

I just know this Bucs team I watched tonight will go bananas on us if we don't cover well and pressure well because Garcia can buy time and he is playing at a very high level.

We looked awful vs the 32nd Ranked offense and the 32nd ranked defense.

I also don't think we have a chance to win at all next week if Romo sits out.

He is one of the very few players in the league who can overcome all of Dallas's mistakes.

People can say what they want about him but i'll take his consistent 300 yard, and Multiple TD performances any day.

This is going to be a long week and im just ready for next weeks game.

In the words of Mike Gundy, "Makes me wanna Puke."

Once again here is a thread about a guy that has not played one down in the NFL and yet he is coveted more than a guy that played and has been to a pro bowl.

The list of players that have done little to nothing in the league but are held up as the answer by fans is astounding.

It all boils down to hope. My hopes of a guy who I like versus a guy that has been in the league.

I think back over the years i have been traveling the internet and talking Cowboys and out of all those years the only player i can recall EVER to show up and deliver on misguided hope is Romo.

Not Quincy

Not Randall Williams

Not Woody Danzler

Amendola

Hambrick

Julius Jones

Billy Davis

the list goes on
