You know you have good team when you can pretty much cut the roster to 53 in early May

The glaring potential weakness I see is CB. Oscan - Very good, Carr - has shown ability but inconsistent; he rose to the occasion late last year, Claiborne - no confidence, not good, Jones - raw and unproven, White and Patmon - average.
I wish/hope we see someone rise to the occasion on the other side of Oscan this year.

I say we keep 4 RB total DMC and Dunbar are fighting for the final spot. If DMC stays healthy he gets the spit no way we keep DMC and Dunbar unless Randle or Williams goes down in TC. That being said a vet db will brought in add more depth.

or if you leave out factors. do you really think we dont have to scour for potential players when we know at least 1/3 of the team will be sitting with injuries? Lee alone is a good bet of sitting, followed by McFadden, and lucky if Romo doesnt go down because we are so stellar with Weeden who we had no faith in to beat the Skins,

Who invited the good news bear?

If they keep Hanna, I think Collins is gone.

I think they want a blocking tight end more than a pass catcher. Escobar is the pass catcher, Swaim is the blocker, Witten is the all-purpose. Hanna can't block me.

From what I've heard Hanna is a very good blocking TE.

Pretty much how I see it, except 5 RB's. I think we'll keep a 10th DL in Bishop over a 5th back. We'll stash one of the rookie guys on the PS if we need him. That 5th spot could be pretty valuable, especially for an improving front 7 player we think could become a solid rotational player next year (Bishop or whoever.)

I also think Wilber makes the roster over Lawrence.

Agreed Swaim makes the roster over Hanna. Hanna just doesn't provide anything Escobar or Swaim can't do. Yeah he's fast I guess, but he's never going to be a "top off the defense" type of guy like some people envision.

That German LB, a RB, a WR, and the DE out of purdue probably all go to PS this season.

I still think there are two roster moves coming, RB and DT. I also think Hanna makes the roster..

Hanna took snaps from Escobar last year because of his blocking. There were a couple games where the announcers (Aikman being one of them) mentioned that the team was both surprised and happy with his development as a blocker. So I am not sure if Collins is in that equation. It is probably either Swaim or Hanna.

Hanna was a far improved blocker last season. He took a lot of snaps from Escobar specifically because he had upped his blocking game so well.

Hanna was the highest rated blocking TE on Dallas last year according to ProFootballFocus. He was 7th on the team behind the starting 6 offensive linemen(starting 5 + Parnell)

I hope not. Steep roster competition makes everyone and the team better. It also goes against everything Garrett has talked about constantly since becoming head coach

The glaring weakness you saw there is exactly why we drafted Jones in the first... at least it's less glaring now (we hope). With all the talk of our DL problems, CB was dangerously bad a rightlfully our top target once we brought Hardy in.

I like Hanna as well, but he could be on the trading block this year.
