Me too and if we draft a guy early, even after Romo is gone, I will not be the guy pushing for him to play.

If you look around the league its almost foolish to start a guy early.

I agree. I think throwing young QB's out there facing the pressure and scrutiny of the fans and media before he is ready is a good way to ruin a QB. I don’t think Romo would have made it had he been thrown out before he was ready I think fans would have turned on him as quick as they did Hutch and Carter. I was glad when Tony said when asked “Were you upset not to start sooner he said no he was not ready. I just hope we plan for the future better next time than we did when Troy retired.

I think the organization will be in much better shape after Romo leaves compared to Aikman, in that the organization (and certainly the fanbase) will be much more open about the position and recognize that many different sizes, shapes and skillsets have been successful at the position, and that success or failure is largely determined on intangibles and the ability to play from the neck up. Jerry was so infatuated with physical skills with QCar, Hutch, Ryan Leaf, Henson.

with Romo now the real deal, no other franchise since 1960 has had the overall quality the Cowboys have had. Eddie Lebaron, Don Meredith, Craig Morton, Roger, Danny, Troy, Tony. The biggest gap we have had was the last one of 2001 to 2006. Then the gap from 85-89. Other then that, from 1960 to 2007 we have had either a very good QB or a Pro Bowl/HOF QB just about every year in those 47.
