Its amazing how their front 3 alone can get a push up the middle to collapse the pocket.

To me Shaun Phillips looks like the better rusher of the two, the few times I've watched the Chargers it seems a lot of them collect their sacks because of the breakdowns he causes, not Merriman. Having said that, I also think Merriman is better in space than some people want to give him credit for. But for people to say he is better than Ware, to me is analagous to saying DeAngelo Hall is better than Newman, where we define "better" as louder.

Yeah, I was posting this in the LT thread.

The San Diego defence dictates what the KC offense does. The Chiefs were trying to stop thge outside rush, so SD brings pressure up the middle.

Now Larry Johnson is nuetralized because they are forcing him to stay and block.

It's amazing what making adjustments to your scheme can do.

Why would you reply to something if you know you aren't going to like what its about? And if you understood the context of what I was saying, it was more along the lines of stopping the nonsense comparisons.I'm not one of those people blindly bashing one or praising the other (see above and the thread's subject and emphasis on the world real). Nor in my time here have I seen a post mentioning the players around them. Now, to be fair, that point has probably been made a million times, but that is because, as you say, there have been way too many posts on the comparison of the two.

Anyway, don't appreciate the sentiment, especially considering my post history, but whatever. I'll try to make sure to check out your radio show, sounds interesting.

he had one in Ellis, and we still saw virtually no pass rush from this team

It sure seems that way David.......Whether Parcells returns will depend on how the season plays out.

I see him returning next year.....We shall see.

apologies - but i just sceam inside when i see someone complaining/comparing the two over and over and over and over and over and over again.

The San Diego DL is what our's should be. I don't think there is much of a talent difference - we have gone too long with different players for me to think that. I am now on the anti zim bandwagon. He does enough to make the defense OK and appear better than it is, but we have too much talent to be playing the way we are.

Goal for next season - New Coordinators. A new defensive one and a REAL offensive one.
