You will understand why Parcells has rested the RB's.
You will understand that the success Jones and Barber has is in how well they compliment one another.
You will understand that if either one of them were a 30 play back they would be less effective and prolly injured by now.

Mark my words Jones is going to go off in this game and Barber will pound their *** in the 2nd half.

I am in agreement with you. The Colts have no run defense. NE could've beat them a couple weeks ago if they'd just run the ball with Dillon and Maroney. Mike Bell had a field day against them. His toughest opponent being the Mile-High altitude. Jones could have a 100 by halftime.

The bad part is we could STILL be losing. But I'm picking Dallas to win this game! There's still time to jump on the bandwagon folks!

Guess who ranks dead last in run defense in the league? I'll spot you four letters: Indi

They're giving up 159.3 yards per game. That is not a typo.

The problem is that they can keep up with their opponents scoring.

And in the regular season, that works.

You guys have 1/2 the recipe to beating the Colts. Run the ball, and run it often and excessively. That's the first step.

But the second step, and the more difficult one to achieve, is to have your defense keep the score close, and MOST IMPORTANTLY.....you have to have the ball last.

The Colts win regular season games when they get the ball for any significant portion of the last two minutes, because Peyton Manning is that good.

The Cowboys can win this game, but it's going to be tough....and a little luck will be necessary.

I do not see how a team with a D like that can win the Super Bowl. Peyton is a great QB but that's a lot to overcome in the playoffs.

You're right. They're 4th in the league in scoring -- just a hair behind #3. I'll spot you four more letters on who #3 is: Dall.

They haven't been as good as year's past, but that ranking doesn't seem quite right to me. I mean I'm sure it's right, but there's always more behind the numbers.

Regardless though, here's the most important number: 9-0 vs. 5-4

The Colts can finish the games, something Dallas is inconsistent at....so far.

They most likely cannot.

But that doesn't mean they can't go 14-2 or better and/or beat the Cowboys.

Go back and analyze the games the Colts played this year. All the games that was close, their opponents ran the ball for 150 yards or more. All the games Colts dominated, their opponents could barely run for 100yards.

That is the key to winning this game. We need to be able to successfully run against them( more than 150 yards). With Jones/Barber combo, I believe we can against the Colts bad run defense.

If the Cowboys don't kill themselves with penalties, JJ and Marion could *each* have 150 yds in this game.

I love the combination of Jones and Barber...

But this is not the week to do it, I believe, as much as we have.

I think we need to keep feeding Julius the ball. We've all seen how he can get going and in a groove as he gets more carries. The more you give him the ball, the more productive he gets.

I think we need to do this for this game. I understand we're saving him, Coach, but this is what you're saving him for. Give him the 30 carries this week.

If we're going to beat the Colts and make history, it's going to be on Julius Jones' shoulders. Saddle up Kid, we're countin on ya.

I think how well the front 7 can pressure Manning is the main key. As been mentioned previously, the Colts can keep up offensively. Ultimately, they'd have to stop Manning in some way to have a chance to win the game..

I am an old football fan and one glaring fact stands out. Defense takes you to the Super Bowl!! There have been a lot of excellent offences that never made it to the Big Game. In looking forward to the play offs just look at the defensive leaders. I still see this game as a match up between Colts Offence and Dallas Defense. I am going out on the limb and say that Dallas pulls the UPSET.;)

And give up an average of 5.1 yards per carry.

I find it very strange that the only undefeated team in the NFL is the one that has a suspect defense (soft against the run) and a mediocre rushing game.

It only goes to show how much recent NFL rule changes have, in fact, changed the game.
