If you could personally pick any player from any team in the NFL, who would you have fill your secondary?

I'd go with:

CB: Deangelo Hall
CB: Terence Newman
FS: Sean Taylor
SS: Roy Williams

CB: Terence Newman
CB: Champ Bailey
NB: Ronde Barber
FS: Ed Reed (Yes, he can play FS, in fact he played FS at Miami)
SS: Roy Williams

That would be a very nice secondary. Roy Williams and Sean Taylor would tear things up!

I can't argue that one bit Riggo. As much as I don't like the fact that Taylor is a thug punk, his skills on the field are undeniable. The only other player that I might replace him with would be Ed Reed playing FS with Roy at SS.

Champ would be nice next to Newman also, but is a little older and has more mileage than Hall. So for the sake of longevity, I'd stick with Hall.

Now my dream All-time list would look more like:

CB: Deion Sanders
CB: Darrell Green
Nickel CB: Terrence Newman
FS: Ronnie Lott (even though he played CB and SS)
SS: Roy Williams

Nice list, but I would have to put Darren Woodson at FS istead of Ronnie Lott. I would have loved to see Woodson and Roy play much longer together than they did.

No way Woody was better than Ronnie Lott. No way in Hell.

Maybe not, but I still would like to see Woodson and Roy play together. They would make one hell of a team.

DeAngelo Hall is vastly overrated right now. I'm not saying that he isn't good. He is. But he got so much pub after his game against T.O. where Mora told him that "you owned him" as he came off the field. Funny thing about that game was that TO had a ton of catches and a ton of yards. Just no TDs.

Since that game, people are wanting to say Hall is one of the top CBs in the game. He's top ten, but not even top 5 right now in my opinion. Give me Newman and Bailey right now over any others.

Sheesh. That secondary would be unstoppable. Teams would be lucky to throw for 200 yards.

Hall is so overrated it's not even funny... Newman is twice the CB Hall is and he doesn't publicly lobby himself for the Pro-Bowl like Hall does... Had T-New ran back a couple of picks for a TD... Hall gets second fiddle for PB and T-New is first team All Pro...

Trade Hall for Champ Bailey...

What makes Bailey better? I've seen him get beat plenty of times, and he also was burned badly by TO when he played him man to man.

I like our secondary as it is. Henry was playing great before the injury, Newman played like an All-Pro the whole season and Glenn showed he can still play, and start, at a high level. Williams was a force as always. The only weak spot was FS. If Coleman can at least play average or if Watkins wins the spot and plays well I think we will have one of the best secondarys in the NFL if not the best.

the thing is, if you look at those stats

TO in the first half: 7 catches 112 yards 0 touchdowns
TO in the second half: 0 catches 0 yards 0 touchdowns

I think on the field Sean Taylor is a heck of a player but...Ed Reed is amazing.
Reed scores TD's at an alarming rate for a safety.
My dream secondary...
cb-Newman
cb-Chris Mccallister
SS-Roy Williams
FS-Ed Reed

CB: Champ Baily
CB: Terrence Newman
SS: Troy Palmolive (sorry but I think he's better than Roy)
FS: Ed Reed or Sean Taylor
