Your gut feeling about the game. Me worry about 70% rain

As of midnight, the Tampa paper sez it will be about as rainy there as in Dallas tomorrow, 70 percent coverage ...

How is Tony in the rain? Felix in rain or bad footing? I can't remember about MB3, Choice either, well about none have played games in downpours.

Garrett better be on point.

My gut is that it's going to be a real close game - not that it wouldn't be with TB's talent.

But the conditions will hurt the precision of our offense. There will be more 3-and-outs than usual. OTOH Tampa's passing game was going to be kinda crazy with the change of OCs anyway and they may luck out ... Not that TB doesn't have precision (but not really do you think quite yet, after all the upheaval there .... ?) .. but I'm worried, very worried at TB painted as the underdog ... emotion may favor them in a bad-weather game .....

Ogletree will win the game for us if he's on the 45. If he's not on the 45 tomorrow ... well that's why we lost ..

OT Anyone have recommendations for a good Web betting service? .. It would be the first time I've done this ..

The rain may turn a 34 to 13 game a 24 to 10 game. I like rain, it makes things shiny. :)

I like when football players look like football players.... They look dirty and like they just finished a war...

In my opinion, our offense is going to be a little less precision based -- read: finesse -- with Terrell Owens gone. I loved T.O. while he was here, but he is a finesse player.

If this game becomes one of slushin' around in the mud, I think our two-tight end formation with Barber, Choice (who runs well in bad conditions, as in Pittsburgh) becoming especially important on the ground, and Witten and Bennett being the go-to guys through the air.

No quarterback is as good in the rain as in perfect conditions, but I seem to remember Romo throwing a good football in the rain before. No?

I'm more worried about this team's panache for not taking opponents seriously. They have done it so many times in the past (since Jimmy left) that I really think it is an intergral part of our team's culture. TB changed this and that so they must be a joke. One of the above posters said this was going to be a "bye". God help us if the players are thinking this way...

I'm kinda worried. The weather won't be Romo friendly. :(

It's REALLY not friendly to Tampa's speed based defense. Two wet behind the ears OLB's??? Marty B is going to have a career day tomorrow, doubling his best game receptions and yards to date.

If the Cowboys can win a game in bad conditions even against a team they overmatch, i'll feel a lot better about them going forward. I don't think it's inconceivable that they lose though. The scenario is weighing on my mind, heavily.

I predict the mud causes the game to go into OT, Cowboys loose the coin toss and have to make an heroic stand just to have single opportunity to win the game.

Fans get stress related health problems.

I'm just excited to see the Cowboys play a meaningful game again ... and hoping that this season begins much better than the last one ended.

FYI....just woke up in Tampa and it's beautiful outside. Blue skies, some clouds on the horizon, but nothing that looks menacing. Things can obviously change quickly here, but it looks good right now.

What's the saying here in Florida? "If you don't like the weather just wait 10 minutes. It will change.". :D

That is the truth. Last year when we took the kid to Disney it would rain cats and dawgs around 2pm like clock work, then the sun would come out. After the 20 mins of down pour, the sun would come and it was like the rain never happen. Freakish weather.

Now having said all of that, we have three of the best running backs in the NFL and very solid offensive line, why worry?

This is the part that worries me. If they can stay fresh and keep down the penalties then we will go far but if they fade like they have the last two years our dreams will again be dashed to tears.

Our oline is massive. I don't understand why we can't just mash people out of the way but we can't. Flozell is one of the best pass blockers in the game until he loses concentration and kills a drive or three. Kozier is mobile but gets killed when standing still and Columbo has caught Flozellitis the last couple of years. I really hope they can fix this because when they are on they are a devastating unit and we can do great things but when they are off well.... we all saw what happened with that scenario last year. Someone hand me a glass of koolaid (Blue and Silver please with some floating stars). I'm eager for the season to start and get some payback.
