so lets now really judge Eberflus.....its not the greatest, but should suffice to be a type of defense in the low 20s or high teens by end of the season

The corners and safeties are still absolutely terrible. Teams won’t be able to drop back and have 5 seconds but a quick passing game will still give this defense fits.

We pick up the 3rd overall pick and a first rounder
We lose the 11th overall pick and a 2nd rounder

Plus we save cap and cash and have Kenny Clark

we miss Lewis, as he was a very good slot CB. we don't have that....we have to play a lot more true press coverage just to be disruptive and allow the pass rush to get there. the key is going to be limiting the yards on first down. right now the run defense was a joke

That's exactly right and the only reason they paid him was because they drafted him. They would have never signed him to that contract as an outside free agent.

At some point they have to stop this! It’s hurting them. OSA’s deal, Diggs’ deal, maybe even Bland’s deal, all appear to be exactly what Stephen Jones said they don’t want to do in Free Agency. They are paying average players like good players and paying good players like great players, all because they drafted them. Then they shop at Dollar Tree in Free Agency.

If we could bring more pressure , that would help. You can have great corners , but if there is no pressure, it doesn’t matter. Giants beat the Pats twice because of their front 7.
