Your new look defense

This is false.

For starters, he was only a DC for 4 years in Indy, not 7. Did you mean to say that the 7 years combined as a DC and HC?

Further here are his defensive rankings as the Colts DC:

2018

PPG - 10th
YPG - 11th

2019

PPG - 18th
YPG - 16th

2020

PPG - 11th
YPG - 8th

2021

PPG - 9th
YPG - 16th

Not sure anything here shows that when he calls plays he puts really good defenses on the field. They are mostly fairly mediocre. He did have a few Top 10 run Ds, but those teams still weren't great overall.

He was a poor hire.
Brian Flores would have us at 6-2.

I take it as I looked up the actual data and someone was trying to put a nice spin on Eberflus and the job he did.
again take it how you wish.I think flus sucks but I'm not sure there's a whole lot of benefit in changing the coordinators AGAIN for the 3rd time in 3 years and expect different results. At some point you need to look at the players. Now whether that's the improving the line or the secondary or even the offense remains to be seen where the best move is.

Ill be interested in how this looks with Osa actually, he does get pressure up the middle and with Q in there he is likley to get to pick his 1 on 1, he may shine. noit saying he will just saying im curious to see this.

Don't forget about Wilson and Hooker. We've been playing with backups to backups at safety and practice squad corner backs from our team and other teams.

this is just crazy, there is no way..NO WAY that was his gap call.. like Baldy said the player has got to have some situation awareness.
That was a very bad play by Toia
He has got to get smarter or he is gone

Kenny Clark is gone after this season.

I think they feel Osa can be more effective with Quinnen next to him.
Osa and Quinnen are both 3-techs. They play the same position. Clark is an NT. You need both in the 4-3 system used by many coaches including Eberflus.

I'm hoping we don't see Toia for the rest of this season except in mop-up duty. Our DTs should be Williams, Clark, Odighizuwa and Solomon. If we need to mix in another, make it Perrion Winfrey.

It's not that I think Toia won't end up possibly being a run plug, but he's out of his league as a rookie.

You line him up next to Clark and tell Osa to go spell his last name.
Yeah, unless we switch our base to a 5-2, which I kind of hope we do, it's Williams and Clark, with Osa subbing in and playing in passing situations.

I want to go five-man with Eze, Williams, Clark, Osa, Clowney. It's essentially a 3-4 set up to stop the run, but we can drop a DE at times in the short zone to help against the pass, making it a four-man front.

It's the best defense to counter the outside zone run game.
