It's so obvious to all of us here in the forum that the scheme and or game plan that Eberflus rolls out every week just does not work for the players that we have on defense. Really falls on Schotty to get this corrected so it is designed and planed to figure out what this group can do to be successful to win games. Or find replacements that can get the job done.

Exactly. I believe in Jerry's mind he was always going to be a one and done guy. Theres no way they were going to pay him that huge salary for next year when they are now going to already be paying 2 other DT's big money. It would make no sense - EVEN FOR JERRY, LOL.
They can cut him in the first few days of the new 2026 Season and be done with him and any money as far as Clark goes. I believe Jerry already had his mind made up on that at the time of the trade.

With Kneeland's passing, I believe all of our DEs except Eze are free agents next year. Who do we retain?

Right now, I'd say hold on to Houston and Clowney, possibly Fowler for the right price. Williams can go. Turner can go. Hopefully, getting a second DE to pair with Eze is in the plan and the ones we retain can be rotational players.
