Man I see lots of changes with him and find myself wanting to let my guard down to accept him as a Cowboy and not some hired gun. But part of me will not forgive him for the BS he pulled as a 49er or that he played for the two teams I truly despise. If they extend his contract another 3-5 years and he continues to play at a decent level and remains a solid teammate then no doubt he will have changed my opinion of him.

Any other former/current TO haters know what I'm feeling?

I see him as a guy that had one good year and only got along with a more laid back coach.

If Big Bill came back I am not sure TO would have been back

I can't believe people are still saying this.

Terrell Owens is a playmaker and that is all that matters.

In your eyes I do not see it all I have seen in more dropped passes in crunch time kind of funny how Witten becomes Romo's main target when we need to go down field to get a fg in the last drive of the series

Hang in there. Forgiveness is often better for the person doing the forgiving. He has always been a hard worker. And compared to many players, one who lives a fairly clean life. The guy has just wanted the lime-light more than most and has, on several occassions, not dealt with adversity the way he should have.
I've met him before while playing hoops. He really is not a bad guy at all.

Oddly, if you have ever known any hot models, his "negative" side basically mirrors how many of them act on an every day basis. There is a need for attention--beleive me, he is not nearly as extreme as some of them.

TO is emotional... and mentally weakand unstable in some ways. He needs to be around certain things. He has that. Its because of Jerry and its because of Romo.

49'ers and Eagles didnt know how to handle this type player. We do.

My thoughts are the same. That he's still a good football player. 2007 brought the kind of impact that I thought he lacked in 2006.

He's matured enough to where all my focus is his on-field production and he delivered in '07.

One good year?

2006
85 receptions
1180 yards
13 TDs

2007
81 receptions
1355 yards
15 TDs

He has had two good years. TO has been fine so far in Dallas. You get what you get with him. Good production on the field and a somewhat circus act off the field. For two seasons in Dallas he and the Cowboys have co-existed pretty well. Will that continue? I don't know. Hopefully he will continue to be okay for Dallas, but there is a chance he will not be. Still on the field he will produce.

I'd hate to see what our WR corp would look like if he got injured or worse yet, not here.

I'd definitely fall into the category of hater prior to his arrival...Not solely based on the desecration of the star, obviously, but more so for the self centered way he carried on both in SF and Philly (Regardless of my disdain for both clubs).

But, today, I am definitely a fan and not simply because he's been productive (Although his dropsy year the season before was no picnic)...I like the teammate he's become, I definitely see that from him...He definitely has proven to be a solid teammate and professional...An asset rather than a liability...So, it's great to see the turnaround both in my opinion in him but also the way he has conducted himself...Because regardless of how it may be spun around here, he HAS changed...This is not the same problem player from SF and Philly...He's matured himself...Perhaps it was simply a good marriage, in the end, but there was definitely efforts on his end that made things work...And I think fans all around are happier for it (Unless you're in Philly or SF).

My respect for his football abilities has never changed. My appreciation for his contributions to the team have definitely changed and I won't deny that. I am not his biggest fan and won't pretend to be. But things have happened that have earned my respect.

First of all, IMO he was great to the 3 boys we sent to his football camp his first year here. I respected that.

He has not acted here the way he did in previous stops.

He seems to be loyal to the entire team.

I think he desperately needs to fit in.... and when he doesn't, things go bad.

In Dallas, not only does he fit in.... but he also has a great relationship with the QB. I think that friendship with his QB was something he sought with McNabb, but McNabb didn't open up like that.... Romo has. And it probably has made all the difference.

Well T.O. has always been my favorite player, even watching him in San Fran and with the Eagles, it was hard watching him score against us basically every game but he was alwasy my favorite. When he landed in Dallas I could actually wear an Owens jersey again lol.

I think he's been exactly what Dallas needed since getting here, a guy supporting his QB, a guy that matches the QB perfectly in terms of style (both improvise very well), a great team mate and our most productive receiver - period.

It almost started and it was because of Parcells and Todd. In his previous stops all he really wanted was:

- to win
- to be part of winning
- to have good people around him and if he doesnt look out (see 49ers and Philly)
- money - fair value for his position and status

Agreed.

Disagree... McNabb opened up but couldnt deal with TO getting some love. Romo is smart enough to know that he needs him and vice versa.

I think everybody that rushed to quick judgement remembered all his drops in 2006. But, it might be hard to catch a pigskin travelling at highway speeds with a broken digit.

Ditto.

I hated him and didn't want him on the Cowboys at all when they signed him. After seeing the entire Philly story unfold over time I guess McNabb was just as bad as T.O. and both brought the team down.

Now I think he has learned from his past and he has matured. No longer do I think he wants to be an outcast and a bad boy. He would much rather be a good guy and help the team win a Super Bowl.
