I like way too many to narrow it down to just 25

I will say that even thought they are technically mini series but I am going to list them.

Shogun - the original one off- Is one of my favorites and one of my favorite books as well

Saving Private Ryan has the best start and finish...lot of the middle was meh. But to me the best WWII movie by far is Band Of Brothers...again I know it is a mini series but it is the best IMO and I am a big WWII movie buff.

Also, although some of the acting is over the top with dramatic stops and look aways. It is hard to beat the two epic Heston movies...

The Ten Commandments and Ben Hur Just absolute epic movies.

Now I love WWII movies much better than Viet Name era or Current Middle east war movies. But Hard to leave off Full Metal Jacket and Apocalypse now movies.

I like too many to even try. I like watching franchises often, especially from the 80’s and 90’s…..some into the 2000’s. I am currently watching the Final Destination movies, just finished Beverly Hills Cop movies. Next up is Lethal Weapon again :muttley:

I am a sucker for franchises as well.

However most have a couple good ones and some stinkers.

I like the insidious movies but did not care for the third or fifth one.

The alien franchise. Third and fourth one I did not care for. Something about Romulus was off as well. But loved the other ones.

The Underworld movies...Liked the first three, those after not so much

The whole Conjuring universe. Liked the first two Conjuring movies...The last two meh. Did not like the Nun but thought the second one was ok. Annabelle creation is the only one of the three annabelle movie I liked.

Most of them have their stinkers unfortunately.

Holy crap, you're old! :muttley:

Is 73 old? Many of these movies I watched as a little kid. I had an uncle who was a big movie buff. He knew all the trivia about the movies. Whenever we visited I would watch old movies with him. Great memories for me. But yeah. I am old. I didn't have a choice in the matter. LOL.
Hey, I'm not too far behind, at 61...and feeling every year of it.

My Cousin Vinny. Probably not a title people think about as top 25, but deserves it. I watched it again not too long ago, and it still stands the test of time.

Kelly's Heroes, Patton and Dirty Dozen, Bridge Over River Kwai, all great freaking WW2 movies. I would also put Great Escape up there. I enjoy the heck out of Bridge Over River Kwai and most of David Lean's stuff, but I'd probably put Lawrence of Arabia as my favorite. Tough choice.

I see you have Kill Bill on your list. Have you seen the new expanded release yet? I know Godfather Part II gets better critic reviews, but I still enjoy the first one the best. Probably was my favorite movie of all-time until I saw Goodfellas. I can still watch 10 Commandments, Ben Hur and some of Charleton Heston's epics. Back when 20,000 extras really were 20,000 extras. LOL

I have re-watched The Ten Commandments so often that I can recite whole scenes. It and Ben Hur's endings always tear me up.

I haven't heard of any expanded release of Kill Bill. Time for me to start googling, lol.

Edit: Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair :starspin:

lol. My age is catching up with me. I knew one of my favorites was from the X-Men reboots, but I thought of X-Men: First Class.

That one is actually my second favorite in the franchise. My favorite (and the one I should have added to my list in its place) was:

I had a much older Aunt. Whenever she would come in to visit the family or we went to visit her. I would watch TV with her and without fail she would say...who is that, I know that actor but I just cannot place their name.

She is gone now. She was older when I was young and now I am 55.

But to this day I will do the same thing. See someone familiar in a movie but just cannot place where I seen them.

I just wish we had the internet and https://www.imdb.com/ when the aunt and I was watching TV or even if she was still alive have the ability for her to look this kind of thing up.

I use it on a regular basis and sometimes I like to read the trivia for some movies and they have a section on the there for the trivia, place it was filmed, sound tracks and the actors in the movie but you can click on those and see all the other movie or tv shows they are in.

Those are two of my favorite of the franchise. Also liked The Wolverine.
As a Xman Comics fan back in the 80s I remember they did a whole Wolverine side comic of him in Japan and always liked that.

The Logan movie was very good with charles and logan but that little girl, man alive did she shine in that role.
