I'm gonna go with:

1. Jerry Jones
2. Pass happy play calling
3. Defensive injuries
4. Lack of depth
5. The talent (lots of aging former stars and nobody undrafted youngsters... not a lot of in between)

1. I don't believe that most players on the team hate to lose.
2. I don't think that very many players on this team want to constantly improve and/or won't put in the work.
3. Too much of the salary cap going to too few of players.
4. Injuries
5. Jeff Heath

CowboysZone DIEHARD Fan
1. Jerry - muy loco
2. Stephen - improper cap/salary structure
3. Ego - can't teach an old dog new tricks
4. Garrett and his whole offensive system
5. Relying on the past history in order to maintain relevance

Bonus five:
1. guaranteed money - leads to complacence(true for most teams)
2. gambling on draft picks and poor scouting
3. has no direction - goes with the current trend
4. injuries(defense mostly)
5. Harvey Roberts Bright for selling the team to Jerry

Extra credit:
1. alcohol
2. his grandson Spaulding

Jerry really is the only reason. I am only 25 and didn't get to live the glory years but, it seems we were a glamor franchise that stars would want to play for and coaches would want to be a part of. Almost like the Yankees. But ole Jerry has turned it in to a true disaster. Too proud to admit his mistakes (Garrett) and too far gone to fix the cap issues. As bad as I hate to admit it - the future looks bleak.

Jerry turned a franchise that lost money yearly to the top grossing team in sports. He has to be doing something right. He paid 2/3 of a billion dollars of his own money to build a new stadium. For fans to say he's robbing them blind are fooling themselves. Jerry has assembled teams in recent history that shouldve been in the superbowl and 1 that probably couldve won it within the last 6 yrs. Jerry isnt the problem. He's given his soul to this team, and there isnt a player that has played for him that wouldnt defend him. While some players dont agree with him, they dont blame him. At the end of the yr there is only 1 team who wins, 31 others are losers. Patriots havent won anything for 10 yrs already. If the future looks bleak then run off into the sunset. Because for every fan like you there are 10s of thousands of fans like me, who stand by my team nomatter what. Blaming Jerry for everything but slavery is wrong and unrealistic. And even if it is his fault, he isnt going anywhere. So get over it or move on. Cowboy nation will get along without you. Trust.

Jerry the Owner is fine. Jerry the senile GM, not so much.

Don't need five

Jerry is a good owner but you subtract the terrible gm from that equation and you get consistent mediocrity

1. Jerry Jones
2. Jerry Jones
3. Jerry Jones
4. Jerry Jones
5. Jerry Jones

This right here. The one constant in 18/18 years of mediocrity. Players and Coaches have come and gone and the one constant has been the terrible General Manager. I used to say he was a good owner but good owners fired bad GMs, right?
