Wow. We've all heard about Romo's quick release but to have it actually confirmed that he has the quickest release .26 eever in the NFL over Marino's .30, Elway, etc. is amazing. Another great factoid about our young developing great QB.

Also great to see him adding another Cowboy record to the few he already has. Sure hope somehow we can stake out a win in Washington next week against the Commanders who always play us tough whether they in contention for the playoffs or not.

Of course Gumble had to come out and say something to negate it.

"can you really judge where the release starts and stops"

I like Collinsworth. Hes said some dumb things during sunday night pregame but I think a lot of that has to do with the writers.

His play by play and game analysis are pretty good. I like the whole NFLN crew. Mariucci, Deion and Marshall are great together.

They would have the best Crew if they just ditched Gumble. I've never hear a man struggle so much just to pronounce names.

What he said a few weeks ago against green bay was almost inaudible. It was a cross between Arm and Favre with a little bit of mandarin mixed in.

And tonight when he said Craytrick Patton or whatever he called him.

Dude sucks. I don't see any way that NFLN will keep him next year.

Swap him out for someone who can speak and provide a better HD feed and NFLN would be on to something.

I am a little curious as to how the research was done. I don't know how you calculate Release Times when there are so many factors that play into the QB being able to get the ball out quick.

There are a ton of factors but it looks like they start the clock when the QBs hands separate as he begins his motion. Or when they should separate because not all QBs hold the ball with 2 hands.

So I guess the clock starts when the throwing motion begins.

Obvious you would stop the clock when the ball is out. It would be tough but like I said earlier, if all are measured on the same scale by the same person, everything should balance out.

You would have to look at a lot of passes from each QB because not every single pass they throw is the same. Romo has several different throwing motions.

I never really thought of Elway has having a quick release. He seemed to wind up and throw it like a baseball.
