YouTube TV and Disney battle

Oh, I'll "steal" from the world's biggest thieves...

Think about this. Dig deeper. Who is stealing from who?

It's not like you're stealing from honest, hard working people. That's what these network corporations are doing..
How are they stealing from you?

I bought their service based upon what I want to watch, now they take something away from me and say if I leave (YouTube TV), they will cancel Sunday Ticket, no refund.

I already paid, they took. That's stealing in my book.
I don’t want to get into the mental gymnastics of this, but you need to look into the contract (user agreement) that you signed. I guarantee you that they aren’t “stealing”. You signed on to and agreed to everything that is happening in the contract.

This isn’t even a YouTube TV issue. This is a Disney/ESPN/ABC issue. They are the ones that want to keep raising rates on you.

Ahh the user agreement. If I hadn't paid in advance for the premium Sunday ticket option I could just dump them with no worries and jump on another.

The fact that I paid nearly $400 for the enhanced ticket option means I can't dump them and get another service or pay for 2....or lose $200 of the ticket i already paid for.

Brain salad surgery, in my book they screwed me. I don’t care whose fault it is but I paid youtube, not Disney...who I'm not a fan of at all either. Wish we never played on Sunday or Monday nights.

It’s just me. No matter how you spin it, it’s steal stealing. Feel free to do it. Many people do. I can’t.

I’m in the same boat. Basically forced to keep YouTube TV through the the end of the year because I lose my money toward NFL Sunday Ticket. However, when football season is over I will begin looking at other options if they don’t get this worked out. For the Dallas game on Monday night Sling has an option to purchase their orange package for 24 hours at $4.99. The orange package includes MNF on ESPN. I figure that’s cheaper than going to a sports bar and buying drinks.

Oh well, I have stuff to do anyway so will miss tomorrows game. Not like this team is going anywhere.

Don't need Sunday Ticket in my area. Most Cowboys games are on tv. That would be a huge waste of money for me. Not into other teams. Youtub is outrages price for ticket.

i tried getting an old antenna working today... something to get me through the game tomorrow. I could get ABC, but weak signal that kept dropping out. I did an overnight Amazon order for a new, amplified antenna - hope it works. If not, I will return it and head up to a sports bar, I guess.

I live in an area where we have NEVER been able to get a over-the-air signal. But the amplified antenna I bought today works great! It only cost me forty bucks!

Hopefully, it works for you!

I cut the cord years ago and am happy overall still. I put a HD Antenna in my Attic and use a SiliconDust HDHomerun with my Plex server. I get all HD locals + about 45 other channels in the NoVA area. With Plex LiveTV you get DVR and a guide. You can watch it anywhere in the world on your devices.

which one did you get? I ordered a Mohu Leaf Plus - no clue if I did a good thing or not. :)

It was just a simple one from Wal-Mart. RCA. I hope it works for you. I was going to get one to go in my attic. We tried more expensive antennas. This was the first one to work.

Anyone curious about this, search Hoverman antenna and if you're handy at all, you can find an easy to make antenna that's higher gain than almost anything you'd buy in a store. Can make one with just some wood and $10 of copper wire from the hardware /home store. Just two longish pieces of wire that you bend into sort of a zig zag shape and connect in the middle with a balun/transformer.

Anyone wants to know more, just pm me.

Only if you live fairly close to the broadcasting channel.
If you live anywhere close enough to get cable/fiber/etc there is over the air antenna access for locals. Now if your only option is something like "Starlink" then you have a great point. In general, for the mass U.S. population everyone should be able to receive ABC/NBC/CBS over the air for free. That's the way the main networks are designed.

There's a limit. The curvature of the Earth will limit any antenna to less than a 100 miles at roof or pole heights. Any antenna claiming longer ranges than this is scamming.
