If a decision is not made Zeke will be on the roster therefore we do not get an exemptionHere is a dilemma.
And should we get a roster exemption.
If a decision is not made, does Dallas need to release a player to have the 53. Or do we get an exemption while his fate is decided.

This is what I've been saying all along. I just cannot imagine any scenario where the Henderson rescinds the suspension, and that's what Elliott is after, not a reduction. The smart play has been to get everything you need for a court argument presented in the "process" so that it can later be referenced and used against the NFL in court.I just watched NFL Live and they said a lot of the things Zeke's attorneys did were to uncover and document the process by which the NFL arrived at the decision. They thought these were things that could be used in Zeke's defense if it went to court.
Right now he is suspended. At cut down time on Sat., he will be put on the suspended list and not count against the 53. If on Monday, by chance it comes back that he is no longer suspended, they will have to cut someone so that he goes against the 53. If it's reduced, he is still suspended and will remain on the suspended listed, not counting against the 53 man roster.
And Zeke by then will have his motion for relief in and his injunction will prevail and court dates will be set.If a decision is not made Zeke will be on the roster therefore we do not get an exemption

If Henderson reduces Elliott's suspension to 1-2 games, then Elliott's legal team will take that as a sign that the NFL knows they have a weak argument/case. I suspect if his suspension is reduced, it would be reduced to 3-4 games in an effort to make the NFL still look like they tough on domestic violence while trying to make it seem like they were objective by compromising. However, everyone knows they chose 6 games specifically so that number would be able to be reduced, but not too far down.
The problem that the NFL just doesn't get is that "Ezekiel Elliott" is more than just a running back, it's a brand, a product all on its own. To Elliott, this isn't just about 6 game day pay checks or even the team. This is about is brand being permanently tarnished and damaged. If Elliott is truly innocent in this, he has absolutely no choice but to fight it through the courts. If this were PEDs, or drugs, etc., it would be easier to accept a suspension reduction, but domestic violence will heavily damage his brand both in the short and long term.
The NFL could have said there wasn't enough evidence to suspend Elliott, but the moment they suspended him, they committed themselves to that suspension and the only way out for them will be if the courts eliminate the suspension.
So now the Cowboys team is being punished for a players behavior and his right to appeal. Don't see how that flies with the owners. if so, then a decision will be made by Sat.No. He is appealing his suspension meaning his current status is on the active roster. If they don't rule by Tuesday, he is eligible to play week 1. You only go to the suspended list if you don't appeal or you lose your appeal. While appealing you are an active player. This is why they should get a roster exemption until Henderson rules.

Goodell: Harry, I'm going to give him 6 games, put you on the appeal and you can reduce it to 4. I've already cleared this with John .
