This is actually funny. I didn't read the article. I didn't even open the link. You, my friend, are barking up the wrong tree here. I know that you are struggling to create some kind of agenda where by I, or anybody who doesn't view this the way you do, are somehow TZ junkies but it's just not so. There is a reason all the tabloids stay close to Zeke and it's not because a bunch of middle aged men are craving news stories from this publication.

You are trying real hard but perhaps consider trying to be smarter about this. I think that will server you much better in the long run.

This, to me, is what is so funny about this entire thing. This really isn't about the amount of time or money a player spends parting. This is about being smart enough to keep yourself out of the limelight. I mean, you can party sun up to sun down and keep all of it under the wire but this is not about that. Zeke does not seem to try real hard to keep this stuff out of view of the cameras. In fact, he seems to go out of the way, in some of these situations, to seek the light. Can't really complain about how the press treats him when he is conducting himself in this manner, IMO.

Gotta kinda expect that this is what's going to happen I think.

It is the price of fame. I agree it sucks he can't go anywhere without people in the media following but it is the world in which he lives in now. The fact he is in the limelight he will need to be careful of his actions and will be forced to grow up or he can continue to do things that will bring negative attention to himself and as I posted in another thread it will create a rap sheet and as more and more minor things pop up you lose any benefit of the doubt. It is his life he can run it the way he chooses but fame comes with certain pitfalls and I would hate to see him fall because of poor judgment

It's true. I mean, the league knows that all of these guys party and do their thing. It's an open secret and honestly, the Commissioner looks the other way. It's when you make him focus on it that you have problems. It's when you make yourself a story that he gets involved IMO. This is all Zeke's fault IMO. The league and the Commissioner would rather just drive on but he just won't do that. He won't be smart about it apparently.

It's really a shame but honestly, everybody has to realize that this is all his own doing. People don't camp outside my widow. Now, some will say that it's because I don't "tote the rock" so to speak but that's not really it IMO. Lets say I did play, they still wouldn't because it's a matter of making yourself a story. I am not that guy and there are many players who are also not that guy. The media doesn't camp on them. The media wants a story and they are not going to waste their time following a player who is not going to give them anything. They are going to spend their time with somebody who is likely to give them a story. That guy is Zeke, right now and he is doing it to himself unfortunately.

That is true which is why it is important for players to use better judgment. Calvin Hill has preached that to many players and the rookie orientation program that all 32 teams are a part of that let these young men know about the potential pitfalls. Young guys can either listen to players who have been there and done that or they can sit and tune it out. It is their careers that are at stake and their choice to be made.

True it is not always what you do it sometimes is being at the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people. In the spot light you attract a lot of leeches and thugs that will drag you down. For me all I am asking of the players is try to use good judgment and be careful of who you are hanging with. Those leeches have nothing to lose the player has everything to lose.

LOL...... I take vacation. When on vacation, I take my phone and I take my laptop and I answer calls and I jump on con calls and I've even made business calls, while on vacation. I do these things, not because I want to but because my job requires it of me. I'm not Zeke but this way of looking at it falls short for a lot of people in this country anymore.

I am my employer. I just can't not be there for my people or my customers, if they need me. Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree with what you are saying. I just can't do it like that.
