Zeke or Dak, what if we can only keep one

What's the price tag on either one(AAV)?
15-16mil for Zeke?
30+ mil for Dak?

For me, I feel it's easier to find a competent replacement for a running back than there is for a QB.
So, unless we had a young QB that flashed potential behind Dak waiting for his shot, think I would let Zeke walk and re-sign Dak.

Zeke makes this offense go. Dak is still unproven as the franchise QB. Right now I would have to say Zeke.
Tough choice either way, as you also build around the AB, and Dak is not horrible by any means, so do you say, 500 RB's can run behind this OL stuff.

I will still say Zeke. Though Dak's performance without Zeke against the Giants to end the regular season showed us a ot. Though it was against the Giants.

I agree, I couldn't say one way or the other if I didn't know what the cost was. But outside of that, it's clear that running backs are easier to find and therefore easier to replace than quarterbacks are. And that's why teams are tripping over themselves to pay quarterbacks double what the best running backs make.

Zeke. What if you replace the other with a superstar?

Dak and a superstar is exactly what you have now. Zeke and a superstar is legendary. Don’t go for safe, go for broke. The bengals have been going for safe for 15 years, they’ve basically had an identical millennium to you.

What are their positions? There you go.

You rid of Zeke and you don't even second guess it. This is coming from one of the harshest critics of Dak - QB > RB.

o_O Dak has led our Boys to a 32-16 record in his first three seasons, two NFC East titles and posted 14 game-winning drives, most in NFL history for a quarterback with three seasons in the game.

I'll stick with the kid. He's going forward, unlike Wentz who hasn't played a full season since '16. Nor even snapped a football in the playoffs, nor has beaten the Cowboys. You can stop me anytime. :lmao:

Decent QB's are harder to come by than decent RB's, IMO.

I actually liked him as a prospect. But who knows if he will develop even into a competent backup .
Such a crap shoot these days.

Amazed the cowboys have found two starters in day 3/udfa recently.

much easier to find a running back that said finding one like Zeke may be a bit harder. Ill defer answering this until later this year. Our line is good at run blocking and that helps make Zeke.

Dak and I consider him average. It's the position Zeke plays.

Smart man...

Whatever one thinks of Dak’s ceiling, you always take the QB over the RB
