Evidently Broaddus was talking about this play on the post game radio. It seems the left tackle for Cincy was showing a tendency during the game to crash in behind FredBeard. The DE on that side had been taking an outside move.
So, during the halftime, they drew up the play to get Witten to run parallel with the line of scrimmage to lure that outside linebacker, pulled Jeff Swaim from the side of Tyron and cross over to block the DE, and Zach shoved the tackle completely out of any recovery position.
So the coaches saw it, drew it up, and the team executed it.
Notice at the :23 second mark of this video Romo says, "That's so fun."
