Zero chance Rush takes Dak's job

Under no circumstance will the Cowboys sit Dak for Rush. They may delay his return for a week or two, but talking about replacing him with Rush, is ridiculous. How dumb would that make the Jones look? They care more about saving face than winning.

How dumb would they look if Rush wins a few more games, Dak comes back and Dallas begins losing? While Dak is a better QB than Rush in most measurables, clearly something is going on that has allowed Rush to help Dallas succeed.

I hear ya, unfortunately that is a possibility not becuase is Rush is better than Dak but a team gets in a rhythm and a changes throw every thing off for a bit, And its not like Dak established any real continuity before he got hurt. Hopefully it wont last beyond a game and not a long term trend.

Currently the economics of all of this support Dak being the starter. I do think that Dak is a better quarterback, is a leader of this team and has value.

If Rush continues to play as well as he has economics might play into it in reverse. If you have two comparable quarterbacks and one is getting literally 30 times more money it would be tough not to go with the cheaper option to further strengthen your roster or retain talent.

At the end of the day we are fortunate that we have Rush and he has played as well as he has.

Bottom line, the coaches need to reel in their expectations of Dak and dial in their play-calling to fit his capabilities. Maybe then he'll be able to calmly see the game in front of him, intuitively know where his receivers are going to be, and get the freaking ball out of his hands.

Jerry Jones has already contradicted what you are saying. He admitted if Cooper Rush can win ten straight games, he could potentially take Daks job. As unlikely as that is, it's better than your claim of "Zero Chance" of Rush taking Dak's job. Just saying. ;)

ITs hard to tell just what Jethro will do sometimes; he was personally close to Romo and yet stabbed him in the back.

Of course he won't because the Jones' are tied to him contractually. What do you expect? For them to eat the contract? Can't even trade him. So he will be the starter, but it won't be because he is playing better RIGHT NOW than Rush. Rush is running the offense the way its supposed to be run. Will he lose a game eventually, sure....all QBs even Brady lose sometimes. We will see soon if Dak learned something by watching. He says it is simple.

We still have a loooong way to go to get to that stage, but if this team is 4-0, 5-0 with Rush I just don't see how this team doesn't stick with him?

Jerry is paying Dak either way. If Rush does take over the starting job it's just more jerseys to sell, and ESPN continuing to lead off every program talking about the Cowboys.

Now all it takes is one loss the next couple weeks and they hype will die out as quick as it emerged, but make no mistake about it, this is all in the hands of Cooper Rush right now.

Rush is doing a fine job. And if he won a few more games he may earn a starting job somewhere. But it looks like we have a O-Line that has really improved. Dak comes back he should be just fine if our playcalling, O-Line and run game stays strong. Maybe a win streak again..
