Zero Confidence In Preparation

Shotty seems a cool approach to games. Not fire in *** Johnson type. It's up to players to be smart, and execute on their own volution.
I'll say this, shotty comes with game plan. Unlike JG or McCarthy who just seemed nonchalant approach, hope for best mentally.

This team shows up flat, slow, and sloppy.

Minny will cone for their Super Bowl. Will this team actually be ready?

I am not confident in this staff to get them ready or bring a good game plan
Yet a little over a week ago there were many here who were convinced Dallas was headed for the big game.

Would like to think they could maybe somehow some way show a kind of confusing and/or pressure type defense to what is essentially a rookie QB.

But in the back of my mind I agree with ya Hawk.

And WRs Addison, Jefferson and TE Hockenson prolly eat our lunch, lol.

But I still HOPE not.
I have the same concerns. Their D has a good chance to bring pressure packages that affect Dak, while Flus likely plays his weak off zone coverage that gets picked apart.

Eventually Dak and the offense will click and start to cook, but it feels like it may be yet another frantic furious finish to a game

No 1 offense in the NFL... still not enough to assage the masses...

3 out of 4 in 2 weeks with last one on the road against a tough team. Poor performance earlier in the year put them in a position to have to win every game. That just isn't feasible.

But give em a break... they will be fine.
Even with that no 1 offense, they were down 21-0 vs Philly and had to mount the biggest comeback in franchise history

That is what I am talking about. They are talented on offense, but they start soooooo sloooooowly and make so many mistakes that they are always putting themselves in bad situations where they have to dig themselves out of a hole.

And that has not just been this year. Slow and sloppy starts have been a regular staple of Dak led offenses under Garrett and McCarthy as well.

I expect the usual slow offensive start coupled with a soft defense. Fortunately, I don’t think Minnesota is good enough to take advantage of it….especially at home.
Same. Although Minny dominated Wash and has enough weapons to hurt us

Our D tends to make mediocre QBs look like all-pros, so I am concerned the Minny offense goes off and their D takes cues from the Detroit game and pressures Dak all game long bc our OTs suck

Minnesota will be loaded for bear. I agree. Can't be thinking about down the road. Only focus on this game.

Minnesota has a better team than us,we have a QB advantage but that has not stopped us from losing a lot of games and our coaches are rubbish

Yep, agreed.

Our coaches in general are good, outside of Eberflus. Flores has bounced around all over the league. For some odd reason Minnesotas HC gets a free pass every year lol. This game will be close. My fear is Justin Jefferson having a career game. We must blitz McCarthy early and often. Or they could get rolling.

In general, they are better on defense. But on offense, we are. If we can play good enough, mitigate the damage, we should win. I see us winning this one 27-23. We do just enough to win.

Let's be clear... they still aren't a good football team. 2 out of 3 phases are historically bad. Offense is good and carrying the team. Yes they start slowly on offense. But the last time I checked, down 21 in the first half wasn't caused by the offense. Schotty isn't to blame for their slow starts. He does all he can to prepare them. But he cannot play for them. The problem with the Cowboys is the GM who keeps adding enough players that are passionate about playing football and adding bottom dwelling free agents on defense until he realizes he is losing his fans and then reacts. Schoolhouse left. Schoolhouse right. Opportunistic. Not strategic. React, not proact. In time, can Shotty influence our incompetent GM and his spawn to put football guys, rather than divas, on the team? TBD. Outside observations are good - benching the likes of Treyvon Diggs, Cee Dee, Pickens? Perhaps others? Because they aren't prepared? A good beginning. But, again, not on the coaches. That is on the players that the GM and his sidekick have given to the coaches.

Look if Murray starts that'll be an indicator of how this game will go because Aaron Jones will have a field day.

I'm confident they'll have them ready to do polka and other team building activities which don't show anything of a team on the field when it's crunch time
I think we got beat up by Detroit, simply because, look at the two teams we played prior. The team was ready we were just physically spent. This team will not have a little letdown against Minnesota, Minnesota is in trouble tomorrow.

Bingo the coaching in scripting 15 plays in the week for the cowboys has always been outperformed by opposing teams offensively, defensively and special teams wise
