For those of you that watched the Steelers game and will watch the Bears game-Can you see the difference in those 2 defense compared too Dallas?

These defenses are aggresive and cause turnovers unlike Zimmers defense.

Yes it is amazing.....why our D can't put together a few blitz packages that work. It just boggles my old brain cells.

Yeah especially the Steelers D is very tricky and well disguised on who is blitzing. they mixed it up well and thats why they confused the heck out of Manning. thats a real 3-4 D not what we showed this last year with players on O knowing who was blitzing and not mixing things up

If Mike Zimmer was the Steelers DC the Steelers woulda lost big today. Manning woulda been good for at least 400 yards and 5 TDs.


I look at how the Steelers DC had a game plan for the Colts and pressured Manning all day and I just shake my head wonderin *** this team is doin wastin time with that moron Zimmer. Fire him now and just get Capers here.

Capers would give us a D like the Steelers have. Mike Zimmer SUCKS!

I think our defense is better than the teddy bears we're just inexperienced. (rookies/new sheme) But the Steelgirls have an outstanding blitz package, just like the patriots. And like I said in another thread, Zimmer need to look at game film of New England and Pittsburgh all summer long.

I watch alot of Bears games and what amazes me is every year the Bears secondary has great players in it. If they lose a guy to Fa or injury another player steps in. NE is the same way. hen we lost Woodson we were screwed. These guys just insert another guy. The other day I got in an argument on how good a coach Zimmer is . My question if he is so good why cant our defense do what NE and Chicago do when injury bug hits us. It is all in the scheme.

You are no beginnin to see that Mike Zimmer is holdin the defense back. And that our Defense has done good in spite of Zimmer. Not because of him.

I don't think we have the LB's to be that aggressive in the 3-4. In a 3-4 defense, the LB's make most of the plays and rush the QB etc.

Now, if we went and got say....(UFA WILL WITHERSPOON!!!)...that would change IMO.

Because Zimmer SUCKS.......He JUST learned the 3-4 last year...That is like comparing a first grade graduate to a College professor with a doctorate.

That is EXACTLY why we need Dom Capers in here running the defense...

Someone how knows the full capabilities of the 3-4 not just the basics...

Not intending to debate you....but is it because we don't have the LB's or is it the coaching, scheme, or lack of creativity?

Give our D some time. They are young and learning a new system. We will add some missing peices and wrinkles in 06.

I just don't think BP will fire Zimmer. Zimmer has done everything BP has asked of him. BP asked him to get his ace somewhere and learn the 3-4 and he did it. Now BP will ask him to come up with a flashy style blitz package and Zimmy will do it.
