Default I am starting to like the Wiley signing more and more

Who knows if Wiley will regain the form he showed in Buffalo. I liked the Wiley signing when it happened but in the back of my mind I was a little worried that San Diego just plan released him on a team lacking talent everywhere. I thought that might be a question mark. Although after seeing that Charger GM bungle the Manning situation, it makes me think that they are totally incompetent. First, they mismanage trying to get a trade for Manning and now any team is going to pay 50 cents on the dollar in offering any trades. Next they have the Manning's who are one of the classiest families in sports saying that if the Chargers draft him that Eli will sit out the season. Peyton turned down a chance to go to the Jets and be coached to Parcells after his jr year, so this move by the Manning's isn't about capilizing on marketing opportuinties in NY City. Peyton wound up going to a bad Colts team in a very small market, so Eli dissing San Diego isn't about the market size either. San Diego is one of the most beautiful places to live. The reason Eli doesn't want to go is that the SD front office is clueless. Lets hope they were equally clueless by letting Wiley go

I see wiley as an 8-10 sack guy who elevates glover to 8-10 sacks and ellis to 9-11 sacks...

You know I'm really beginning to like squash more and more? I really like "Butternut".

That be nice, I don't want to set the bar real high for Wiley yet, but he's a nice upgrade over Ekuban. If he gets those stats, this defense would really really be good and scary.

I like the Wiley signing.

I forget where I read it, but it was a quote from a personel guy in the league who said that when they viewed film of him last year, he seemed soft and out of shape. He also stated that the Cowboys got a steal because there is no way Parcells will let him be out of shape.

He felt that that was his limiting factor.

I felt a lot better after reading that.

I was always big on it. I liked Wiley better than Bert Berry who had only played well one year. Wiley wasnt signed to an all-world contract; all he has to do is ne active and get some pressure on occasion to help out Glover, Elli and possibly a 1st day pick.

I liked Berry better but what do i know ? Only saw few of them last year. But the contracts made the choice alot easier. Berry was way overpaid. I'm hoping wiley pans out because he could really improve our defense and help out hunter make the adjustment to starting cb.

I think Wiley can have a big year with our strength at DT... I am looking forward to double-digit sack numbers...

Wiley is a good LDE.

This is another plus.

Another reason I like the Wiley signing is he's got a huge upside to him. I don't believe he's sustained any major injuries (ala Kearse) and we didn't pay through the nose for him.

But with his potential, we can rest a little knowing we won't be reaching for someone to fill the DE position and can concentrate on other positions.
