It will be ok if JJ can run between the tackles and not get killed. If not... well, never mind that.

Well, this is the back I actually wanted us to take the whole time. Trade even looks better to me right now.

Tomorrow - when you get off work head down to the local tattoo parlor and ask them to tattoo - "TIBB" on your butt. "Trust in Big Bill"

Look at this way - would you have wanted Barlow or Rudy Johnson if Campo was the head coach? Bill knows talent and is good at it.

Positives: Has an athletic, cut body with well-defined upper- and lower-frame muscles … Has quick feet and sudden moves coming out of his stance … Fast-twitched through the holes, showing the vision to pick and slide as he finds the rush lanes … His burst allows him to squeeze through holes, as he stays at the proper pad level to gain leverage … Has enough power to be adequate running inside … Has the body control to turn the corner, showing good hip swerve to elude and get up field … Has the vision to read blocks in space … Effective on screen passes, but has a small window to catch … Shows a good feel for the underneath pass … Willing blocker with face-up ability, good toughness and good anchor to sustain … Can make the big play if given protection until he hits the perimeter … Good at getting his shoulders square to get up field … Patient runner who uses his blocks well … His balance and ability to spot the small seams makes him effective as a returner.

Negatives: Not really a self-motivated player and does not take well to hard coaching … Is just a little too lazy digesting the playbook … Has adequate power, but not enough to take on defenders one-on-one … Not mentally tough, letting minor injuries linger … Just used on screens, as he is a marginal route runner who looks late for the ball … Needs to protect the ball better and show better anticipation for contact … Will sometimes run up the back of the offensive lineman, but has enough pick-and-slide agility to gain yards inside … Prone to go down from the initial tackle, especially when defenders attack his feet … Has good foot quickness and change-of-direction agility, but is not sudden off cuts, gathering himself before accelerating.

AGILITY TESTS
4.47 in the 40-yard dash … 345-pound bench press … Bench presses 225 pounds 16 times … 37-inch vertical jump … 4.16 20-yard shuttle … 31 1/8-inch arm length … 9¼-inch hands … Right-handed … Wears contacts.

THAT IS A FANTATASTIC PICK!

I've been on the Julius Jones Bandwagon for a long time.

This kid will be the "Clinton Portis" of this draft--bank it!

Default did you see that highlight?

he's a good back...a fast back who can break tackles...

i think we're in good shape...

we picked up an extra 2nd round pick, a 5th (depth) and may hit the jackpot next year.

we basically traded jackson for jones. I think Jackson is more complete right now, but I think Jones has the potential to be just as good and its a gamble i'm willing to take for the extra picks and for the potentially high 1st round pick.

Most of the highlights shown by espn were running between the tackles.
His running style reminds me of Emmitt.

we pass on the two best backs in the draft, then perry & bell go of the board. We get stuck with Julius Jones. Dallas wihout a doubt catches a lot of heat for this from fans & media. The trade would be justified if they went with another position here. I just don't understand why NOT take a RB with your first pick but trade it just to take the the 5th runnung back selected.

Instinctively he is the best RB in this draft. And since instincts are vital to the success of a RB, I like this pick.

Okay now I'm going to need someone to tell me that this is a joke.
