Malik Davis cap impact is no different than any other dude at the end of the 53 man roster. Every team in the league has a number of those guys.

I wondered why they let Joe Looney go. He stepped in and did a pretty good job in short notice. Leary still had some juice left. Had a knee a bad knee but most do at that point. He can't pass block at all. Can't handle power, can't handle speed, can't handle quickness. He will get Dak killed in Pass Protection. He is below average as a right tackle in pass Protection and above average in run blocking. Grossly overpaid.

Both vet minimum players not even counting towards the current cap (offseason top 51 rule). Cutting or keeping them has next to no impact on the cap, good or bad.
