    I agree there are people who don't put in the effort. And while these agencies have ALOT of room for improvement, they do offer a ton of resources. You just can't be lazy about looking for work. Ultimately that's what it's all about.

    Also, if you're a high wage earner, one shouldn't think that unemployment is going to be a big help. You might get a 1/3 of your salary. So if you haven't saved properly, you're going to feel the crunch.

    yea, i'd rather see us spend to improve these systems because they directly affect employment and people on a day to day basis.

    but no, it can't make people look for work, only help those willing.
