He can't be the answer to something that has so many questions but hell I'd take Clowney in a heartbeat. Is there a chance he makes it to us, assuming we win at least a couple more games?

I want DL and OL, period.

I doubt he'll be 'the answer', but he'll significantly improve the defense. Unfortunately, I doubt we get him. We'll end up 8 and 8 with a middle of the road draft pick. Probably end up drafting a safety.

    A safety wouldn't be a bad choice. It's been a weakness for a decade.

Seems like they'll be content with Church and Wilcox but I get your point. I think I'd be pretty upset if we didn't go DL in the first, or at least OL. Biggest obvious needs.

He'd be a great addition, but we've so many holes on this team the cost to trade up to get him would be far greater that the impact he would likely have.

Clowney is a talent, but I haven't heard so much from him this year....are people wanting him this bad because of "the play" in last year's bowl game?

I want us to get started on drafting for the D-line this upcoming draft so we can let Hatcher and Spencer go. Hatch has been excellent player this year, but we've seen what happens when you give these big contracts to guys in their 30s. Somebody posted something about Hatch saying he didn't want any bad footage out there of him, so I have a feeling as soon as he gets paid, he might not look like the Hatch we've seen the past couple of years.

This team has an insane amount of deficiencies, so trading up would make no sense.

He takes plays off all the time. What's he going to do when he gets his money?

If we trade up high enough to get Clowney this place might crash.

    1. We don't have the assets to trade up for him.
    2. He does nothing to improve our offense.
    3. JJ still controls this team and one player will never change that.

Clowney was hyped something fierce last year. This year, he looks slow, disinterested and taking plays off if not games off. Last year I would say he was a sure fire #1 this year, I dont no if I would draft him with a early in the 1st, he could fall big time because he has lost his motor.... Clowney could end up like a Sharif Floyd....all hype

Jerry will give him a big contract to reward him for his play this year. 1 year of good play is the only thing it takes for Jerry to serve up a huge long term deal.

Clowney will frustrate the fans of whatever team he winds up with. Ridiculously talented, half-hearted. He takes plays (and games) off, and only occasionally flashes the megastar talent he has. Still, half Clowney is better than 90% of the rest of the 1st round, even in a good draft.

IMO, he'll be the defensive end version of Randy Moss.

But even with 100% from him, he alone can't turn around this mess of a team. The issue isn't on the field, it's in the owner's box.

Clowney woud not even scratch the surface on this mess. Also he has a reputation for taking plays and games off.

The guy is going in the top 3 more than likely so no...

Won't have the ability to trade up and this team has too many damn afford to.

Trade up. The way this team is going we will have 1st pick in the draft.

No...the way this team is going they'll win the division, lose in the first round, and have a high pick in the first round.
