Those first three are GM duties. And as for the Death Star, people complain but still go.
which owner hired and refuses to fire jerry the GM (the GM you say "sucks eggs")?
if jerry hired a GM and kept him for 15+ years with 1 playoff win would you not blame the owner?
but because it is jerry, he gets a pass
so you dont care if the team you are a fan of wins or loses and plays mediocre year after year as long as the team is making money for the owner?
It is his need to play GM that makes him a bad owner though.
Not gonna waste the key strokes..............wow.
I do care. I've suffered and celebrated with this team year in and year out since SB X. Like I said, he is certainly lacking (to put it mildly) in the GM department. Sorry to interrupt the Jerry bashing party. Carry on.
you conveniently ignored my first question
the money he makes or the stadium he builds helps him and his family, not me as a fan
if you are a fan of the dallas cowboys, jerry is the worst owner in the NFL
only the truly blind dont see that
Oh, sorry for having a different opinion than you. And I don't have to defend myself as a nearly life-long fan of this team to anyone. I know I am. And will always be.
this is actually a great point.
that is the truth, that stadium has done nothing for the fans. Nothing. Not a thing. In the end it drove up all the costs associated with being a fan who buys tickets. It has cost the fans a ton of money.
I cant stand the place personally it just feels like a big shrine to the jones family. The feeling I used to get in texas stadium is long gone....that place felt like football, tradition and all those great things about this organization....
............are long gone. Sadly.
Stolen from us by the 'Best Owner In Football". Friggin joke.
How could you possibly find a better owner than one who employs for life a GM that prevents his own team from winning?
An owner's actions guaranteeing his team will never win.
Take notes, fellow owners. This is how it's done.
I love the "He sucks as a GM but what an owner" crowd. They're always good for a laugh.
The stadium is a perfect mirror image of Jerry and his Cowboys. All show, no substance. That monstrosity hanging over the field is his own ego on display.
Is Jerry senile? No
Is he a delusional narcissist? Absolutely?
As an owner, he only does half a job. As an promoter and marketer, there is no peer. As for handling football operations, there are few who are worse.
billionaire owner of the biggest franchise in America 3SB rings. Nothing but the truth.
Youd dont have to like him... But I doubt JJ cares about his popularity in the trailer park.
Good owners care more about the direction and quality of the product instead of lining their pockets.
You feel that JJ cares more about lining his pockets than the direction and quality of the team? I dont think he should be a GM but I have never felt as if he is all about the money.
Scott's absolutely correct. Jones is senile. I use to think he was a good owner, but that's obviously not true based on the teams success for the past 10 plus years.
Well, Jerry has made some pretty poor decisions, for sure. But he has also made some great decisions which ended up getting us three S.B. Wins. You can't pick and choose and discount one or the other. Why is it blind luck when he wins three super bowls and the only the mistakes that count. He has made some bad decisions. I am ready to get back to winning championships. But there are a lot of moving parts involved and a lot of luck. The Giants can vouch that it is better to be lucky than good.
