Here are some observations from the practice.

** In three straight goal line plays in one-on-one drills Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams and Dwayne Harris came up with touchdowns on Brandon Carr, Morris Claiborne and Sterling Moore. Bryant’s touchdown was the best of the lot, leaping high to pluck a Kyle Orton throw over Carr, who was in terrific position. Williams beat Claiborne on a slant. Harris cradled an Orton pass that was just out of Moore’s reach with his left hand while keeping his feet inbounds.

** With Jay Ratliff sitting out and Robert Callaway done for the year because of knee surgery, Nick Hayden was the starting 3-technique on Tuesday. Hayden signed with the Cowboys after last season and has played for Carolina and Cincinnati.

** TE Gavin Escobar is supposed to be a red-zone threat and he was able to come down with a TD on a Nick Stephens throw on a bootleg play. The defense completely bought the fake, leaving Escobar wide open. Tuesday’s practice might have been Stephens’ best but he still has a long way to go. His passes sometimes float too much

** WR Cole Beasley gave whoever was matched up on him fits in team and seven-on-seven drills. His quickness makes him a tough out in the slot, but he is limited as a slot player for the time being mostly because of his size.

I would definitely say that we have more weapons at receiver than we probably ever have had in Dallas.

I think our TE group as a chance to be really, really good. IF we can stay healthy.

I have no problem with Beasley as a slot player.

Wes Welker has made a nice career out of it.

If we get half that production, I'd be ecstatic!

Talking about size? I mean at one point we had Amendola and we let him go. Beasley did have a good connection with Tony Romo if I remember?

Does he plan to change size at some point?

I agree and have been saying as much all offseason. He gave people fits last year also in camp. I expect to see our WRs other then Bryant rotate a lot and it should keep them fresh come 4th quarter.

He also threw something like 3 ints iirc going to Beasley on a small number of attempts and I would assume a lot of that has to do with size.

Sounds like our new WR, Williams, is starting to beast out there after his first day.

As are most assumptions, that would be a bad one.

Limited due to season ending injury/surgery last season.

He'll be the last WR kept on the depth chart, if he can play special teams.
