The guy must have the worst agent in the world. He is the LOWEST PAID STARTING KICKER IN THE NFL. Let that sink in. Among 48 kickers with NFL contracts, Aubrey ranks 44th. He makes less than half of what the average FG kicker makes in the league.

The guy is literally one of the valuable weapons on the team. If there is one guy I would root for in a hold out, it is Aubrey. He's more than earned it.

Bring this up in a month. It's just a timing issue right now

You mean our MAIN source of offense???? What a great guy you are Aubrey!!!!! I hope he's resting his leg this summer, we're going to need him a lot

He was a rookie, un-drafted at that.
It's not like he could of signed a 1 year deal then had UFA rights.

I'd pay him above what is called for, but on a shorter deal. Kickers are like relief pitchers, they lose it in a hurry and often it then takes a change of scenery to get it back.

100 pct true. BA might be the best kicker of all time.

Why pay a proven score-maker more when you can pay a proven choker the most money ever? If we pay reliable guys like Aubrey, we might not be able to afford losers like Dak! That's unacceptable! /sarcasm

The guy is the best kicker in the NFL and the lowest paid. 6M per would bring him into the top 5 where he belongs. You can't predict when he might lose it any more than you can predict an injury. The guy has all-time great leg. Vinaiteri kicked until he was 46 as did Morten Anderson and John Carney. You sign him now while he's got one cheap year left on his contract.

He came in on a street free agent contract and had limited experience as a kicker. It wasn't even sure he was gonna win the kicking competition. Even with a great first year, he had no bargaining leverage. Dallas would be wise to sign him to an extension now, because with another big year he will be looking to break the bank.

I get it bro. I'm not always right. And I have no problem admitting it. Thats a big problem with this, and other, message boards- some people think they are George Young or Bill Polian. I assure you, none of us are. IMHO Make him the highest paid kicker, 2 years and a club option. Thats fair, no?

I'd say that's fair. And I'm with you about kickers losing it all of a sudden. It's actually a fascinating phenomenon. That said, he deserves to be among the highest paid. I'd just be a little hesitant about giving him $25 million guaranteed or something like that.
