Hey, everyone, newsflash: We aren't winning the Superbowl if our backup QB has to play.

Of course that isn't true for the Saints, Colts, Patriots, Chargers, Vikings, or Jets. Their backup QBs are awesome.

I think both of you guys are right.

We are capable of completely shutting down any pass rush. Especially at home.

We are also very capable of giving Romo terrible protection.

Our O-line has got to get better at showing awareness in pass protection though.

I hope Garrett isn't affraid to use a shorter passing game this year. A lot of the preseason routes I have seen have been longer throws.

Jason Hatcher isn't the long-term answer at LDE, imo.

    I agree with Broaddus.

    I'd keep McCann.

I don't get it if they cut him.

Same here. And Archer and MacMahon want to keep six safeties? That's crazy.

    Looks like it's just a #'s game.

I'd hate to let that guy go though. I think someone else is going to pick him up.

Bryan Broaddus did a nice job tonight.

I agree with you. Why would you cut that speed, and McCann is 22 years old. It would be crazy to cut that speed and potential (possible slot CB in a year or 2 IMO) and keep a safety who isn't fast.

    You can't teach McCann's speed.

    I don't like keeping 6 safeties, either.

They better run a 4.4, and I don't think either of them does.

The fastest way to get AOA on the field (IMO) is to play him as the slot CB or at SS.

IMO, the Cowboys will have a void to fill at SS next year. AOA is going to have a year in the weight room to get stronger, and he can do all the things that the Cowboys ask Gerald Sensabaugh to do in coverage.

I think we keep McCann. McCray and Church are battling each other. McCann fights for the ball. Wall is a goner. Kid got knocked on his butt on a special teams play last night.

There are going to be tough cuts.

I see some people saying we keep 10 LB's.

We don't have 60 roster spots.

You know CBs are tough to come by, and some team will look to continue to develop him if Dallas cuts him, imo.

I just can't see justifying keeping 6 safeties, especially with the speedy McCann at CB.

Well McCray looks like an incredible special teams guy. Thats why it is so tough.

I'd cut the guy I felt like I could sneak onto my practice squad if I were Dallas.

I like his flash plays. But he needs to be more consistent. We can get those flash plays from Bowen.

Amplifying my point. NFL sack leaders.

    1. Minnesota...48
    2. Pittsburgh...47
    3. Miami, San Fran, & Philly...44

Game 1...Philly (11-5 and a playoff team) sacked Romo 4 times. That is above their season average. Yet we handled them 20-16 after a deep pass to Miles Austin.

Game 2...Philly sacked Romo 2 times in a game to determine the NFC East crown. They were 11-4 going into this game. We were 10-5. We were supposedly soft while they were battle tested and tough. 24-0.

Game 3, playoffs...Philly sacked Romo 2 times. If you remember, there was no way we coudl 3 sweep them. There was no way they'd lose 2 in a row to the same team. They didn't show anything in the 2nd game and held it in reserve for this game. Blah blah blah. 34-14.

My point, Dallas can handle a good pass rush and win a football game. The Minnesota game is not systemic of an evident flaw. Minnesota outplayed them that day and was the better team. No problem admitting that.
