He is not talking about taking less. He is talking about taking the same amount but converting salary to signing bonus to lower the cap. Dak has done that multiple times and likely will over the course of this contract.
Thread killer alert ......LOLHe is not talking about taking less. He is talking about taking the same amount but converting salary to signing bonus to lower the cap. Dak has done that multiple times and likely will over the course of this contract.
Edit: He even points out IN that article "The Eagles are paying everybody. That seems to be the way."
It's already written in to do this type of deal in the Dak contract.

Read the article. He' stalking about restructuing his deal which is what Dak has done numerous times.
Yeah these articles come around where they insinuate restructuring as taking less. I don't get why they try and dupe the readers. So basically he's doing what ever other qb does at some point. Excellent journalism.
LOL...... like Dak would ever consider doing something that benefits the team. It will be a cold day in hell before that happens.
and how did he look when he was not playing a losing team? Most infuriating thing is about Dak's performance in the playoff win over the Bucs. Played a great game, had both stats and a solid win.
So he can win playoff games, IF the team is structured the right way.
But with his current contract, not sure that can happen. "Cap hell" isn't the case, but it sure takes a sharp GM to manage the cap to get there, and Jerry ain't it...
Altering his deal NOT taking less."You could convert some of the money to a signing bonus, which will lower the cap hit," Burrow said. "You can push some of the money to the back end of the contract. That lowers the cap hit. And then when you get to the back end of the contract, you can restructure it and convert it to a signing bonus. You can also just take less money."
That Bucs team sucked and had no business being in a playoff game. That's the only reason why Dak was able to beat them. Most infuriating thing is about Dak's performance in the playoff win over the Bucs. Played a great game, had both stats and a solid win.

Dak played against a team with a losing record. He usually does well in those games. Most infuriating thing is about Dak's performance in the playoff win over the Bucs. Played a great game, had both stats and a solid win.
So was the team structured the right way against the Bucs but wasn't the following week? Most infuriating thing is about Dak's performance in the playoff win over the Bucs. Played a great game, had both stats and a solid win.
