i'm sick and tired of the steal from the rich and give to the poor. you want more in life, get off your solid gold brass hiney and get a better job. improve your skillset. do the things that normally work and quit waiting around for some freaking liberal to give you a few thousand dollars so they can feel they've changed the world.
Just another politician playing political games and using terms like "patriotic"...kind of like the Patriot act.
Give me a break.
Talk to me about a flat tax of 10% for citizens and higher for non-citizens.
I'll show you patriotism across the country. People will be ecstatic.

yet Biden is NOTORIOUSLY stingy... with his own money...
Here are his charitable contributions...
1998....... $215,432........ $195
1999....... $210,797........ $120
2000....... $219,953........ $360
2001....... $220,712........ $360
2002....... $227,811........ $260
2003....... $231,375........ $260
2004....... $234,271........ $380
2005....... $321,379........ $380
2006....... $248,459........ $380
2007....... $319,853........ $995
Total.... $2,450,042 ......$3,690
So he is stingy which is different than other politicians?
I would think most are giving more than that. I don't come close to making what Biden does, but I give yearly what he has given over the past 10 years... and he wants to raise my taxes.
I'm not a big Dick Cheney fan, but according to records Cheney made almost $9 mil last year. He donated 7 mil to charity...
I think many just donate for tax breaks. I would imagine if there was no tax break and if they were not in the public eye...I doubt they would give half the amount unless it is to a charity that is somehow in their names to get some of that money back.
What a politician donates to charity does not bother me...it sure does not make me think they are better or worse.
Cheney could give all of his money to the children miracle network and I would still think that guy is slime.
Now that does not mean I think Biden is a great guy. Personally I think he is like many other politicians who are in it for themselves. Heck he would be VP to anyone that asked him.
But what he does or does not give to charity is the last thing that worries me about politicians.
That goes right in hand with Barack saying his massive wealth redistribution plan is neighborly.
Just say no to Marxism.
and they very well may, but the point is some give... a lot...
I would rather they give with tax breaks in mind than to not give at all. At least someone needy benefits that way...
I was raised to give when I can give to those needy or sick. I was not raised to give my money to the government to waste although I don't have much of a choice in that...
i don't give that much in a year directly no. but through the course of the year in what i give to friends/family/charities does go above that by far. friends that need things i don't need anymore or i can get for them easily enough, i do. i'm single and make a good living and if my friends are actually a part of my family, i make sure i do what i can to help them with their lives and families.
another question here would be what did biden to do reduce his tax burden?
Just FYI, the headline has been changed to: Biden: Paying higher taxes patriotic for wealthy
Not that it matters all that much, cuz it's still a questionable statement to make.
and his definition of wealthy...
Anyone who has a paying job.
Or how about McCain basically saying...that you are only rich if you make $5 million.
It might be interesting to know how much of OTHER PEOPLE's money (taxpayers') he gave away during that time.
He must make $4.9.
I'm sure Josh Howard's on board.
He or his Wife? :
