    Should we sign him?

Eh for extremely cheap maybe. He's fallen off considerably over the past couple years.

I really liked the guy when he was with the cards. Really fits (or did once) the part as a 3rd wr with some quickness and speed. Turns 30 in August.

Wasn't he good with Warner throwing him ball?

I think Romo could bring him back to that.

Don't ever suggest picking up other teams castoffs. The lunatics on here will burn you at the stake. If they are available they are no good. Period. At least that's what burm and his ilk believe

There is no comparison to situation with Breaston and Titus Young.

It would be helpful if the OP posted some stats.

He's 30 and has previously had a troublesome knee.

I don't understand some people wanting to replace Dwyane Harris. The guy was a stud down the stretch as a return man and 3rd WR.

I agree, there are few similarities between these two players and situations.

Breaston over the last two years in KC:
    2011
    16 games(13 starts)
    61 receptions
    785 yards
    2 TDs

    2012
    10 games(4 starts)
    7 receptions
    74 yards
    0 TDs

I think he'd be worth a look at the right price. Putting his numbers from KC into proper perspective, none of their receivers exactly 'lit it up' this past season. Even Dwyane Bowe was fairly pedestrian. I guess that happens with Matt Cassell and Brady Quinn throwing you the football.

Exactly! This team needs a #4 WR, which can be cultivated by coaching up the WR roster, and some solid depth behind the #1 and #2 WRs who can challenge them and spell them. That depth can only come through the draft, not free agency.

What we need is a speedy WR who can stretch defenses *and* sub long-term on the outside if Miles or Dez misses substantial time. I'd rather get one in the draft, but a value veteran FA would be ok with me. Most speedy vets who can catch anything at all aren't available for value contracts, though.

I love Dwayne Harris but we need depth, I'm not saying he can replace anybody here, he can come be 4th receiver and a Returner a situational guy, if our top guys go down we'd be in trouble, big time

yup, he had Romo's trust, that can be a hard thing to get.

Not to mention he did that with no real QB. Same with Bowe. I think somebody is going to get a monster in Bowe in FA

I didn't see anyone suggesting he takes Harris' place. I'd be OK with this for depth though.

He was good with Warner. He had over 1,000 yards in 2008.

    ...for the team.

We need players who will help on special teams also. Breaston is not the guy.

Hey, if it was about bringing in veteran competition at a low price, I'd be for it.

We did bring in the ex-Skins WR. I can't think of his name right now. He has speed, but I don't know if he's any good.

Stats don't tell the whole story. Don't even really begin to start.

Guys been in QB hell for a few years.

I like him. I'd bring him in for a look. He's definitely got the TD celebration thing down.
