It isn't but I mean if we get him and have our 1-2 punch we ain't we keeping him fresh get him. Deal close too what eagles got for sproles I mean why not more weapons don't hurt and of course you never have enough weapons

If we get CJ, he and Murray can both watch the second half together from the bench as we throw the ball 50+ times.

For a player who needs a new (cheaper) contract and could possibly get cut by his team, giving up anything higher than a 6th would be bad imo. But I would love to have him here. The dude is still fast as heck.

I can hear him now talking to Garrett at halftime:

"Hey coach, can Murray and I split the 4 second half carries today?"

My guess is a lot of you didn't watch him play last year. He was horrible. No thanks.

It would have to be a 7th then as we don't have a 6th. We've got 3 7ths though, I'd be willing to part with one of those for a new deal with Johnson that has a max 2.5 mill cap hit (similar to Sproles deal) this year.

yeah, if he would play for what a 4th rounder would get in salary, then why not...since that isn't happening, no way....

I'd do it, there's no reason why I wouldn't plus how many games will Murray play this season? Johnson would be an excellent replacement. However it wouldn't be more than a 3rd rounder though and of course a pay cut.

It's true I didn't but Tenn offense as a whole is not threatening outside CJ2K

Chris Johnson is terrible. He averaged less than 4 yards per carry and had along run of 30 yards last year, all of 5 runs over 20 yards for the entire season. He's tackled for no gain or a loss so often it's amazing. He's not good good pass catcher and he's a terrible pass blocker.

The Titans embarrassed themselves extending in in 2011 and have force fed him the ball ever sense trying to justify the contract.

It's amazing how much his career mirrors Eddie George. George completely sucked his last 3 years in Tennessee and so has CJ.

CJ ending up in Dallas like George did would be a pretty fitting finish.

Jerry Jones forced George on Parcels so maybe Jerry will try it again, he's the one GM dumb enough

Yes. But only for the entertainment of seeing his abilities squandered by Jason Garrett.

I agree. Clearly people did not watch Chris Johnson play last year. He is lost a major step.

I'm not pushing at all for CJ and yes, 2013 was not pretty compared to his other years. 1077 rushing at 3.9ypc is nothing special for sure.

He did have 4 receiving TDs with a long of 66 yards last year.
10 total TDs is pretty good. Tied him for 9th among RBs.
He's rushed for > 1000 yards in all of his 6 years in the league...one of a handful of players in NFL history to pull that off.
He's only missed 1 game in six years.
Last year's 3.9 ypc was the only year he's ever been below 4 and his career average is 4.6ypc.

Not sure what you mean by "last 3 years" though. The year before he had 1243 yards rushing and a 4.5 ypc...which is very good.
    "terrible" is a bit extreme.

as some have said would really depend on his asking price, at his current pay no way

Not advocating, but Johnson does operate best in a zone scheme.

CJ is a question mark as far as playing hard outside a contract year. He won't take a pay cut, unless he absolutely has to.
