the real question is: does ben bass want him on the team or not?
That joke has gotten so old that they had to move it to hospice care.
some things get better as they get old
Hospice Care just called. They want to return it asap.
Check out some highlights of him week 9
Week 1 skins burnt
For the right price I would take CJ and wouldn't think twice about it. We can harp on CJ's production but when you have Jake Locker lining up under center, not much for you to game plan as a D Coordinator.
No doubt you get Johnson in the open field its game over. With that big of hole though Félix Jones could have taken that one to the house. Everyone on the front 7 of Wash went hard to the left and no one kept contain on the back side. The right side DT got embarrassed, Right DE rushed deep, when he should have taken a tight path to prevent the cutback, and I'm not sure what the safety did there. Made a bad read and over ran the play I guess.
Would Randle take that to the house, if Murray was on a rest? Nope
You're right about that.. You don't have a homerun threat behind Murray. I do think CJ could be useful, I just wouldn't give up much for him. Maybe a couple 7th round picks.
I wouldn't take Chris Johnson if THEY gave US a 3rd round AND a 4th round pick to do it. Hmm, let me think about that for a moment. The first thing I'd do would be to cut him, leaving $4M in dead money (vs. paying him $10M). Are 2 draft picks worth $4M? Not sure.
Yeah. The money is by far the issue for me, not really the player so much.
Speaking of Randle, kid has no flash, wiggle, burst or top-end speed. Cutting him is an option as his cap hit would only be about a 100K.
I've been under the impression that he's agreed to take a pay cut if traded. Not sure why or where I've heard that or even if its true. Without that I wouldn't give anything for him, and I doubt any other team would either. Just wait til he's cut.
No he would have tripped over his own feet after about seven yards, get up and clap his hands in disgust.
The only way I could describe Randle to someone unfamiliar with him is "ordinary".
Here is NFL networks take on best fit for Chris Johnson.
He's openly said he'd work out his contract to help benefit the the team he'd be trade to
Not going to get into numbers/money.
But he is definitely worth a play.
