5 OL (Tyron, Frederick, Martin, Tyler Smith have all been homerun selections, jury is still out on Guyton)
2 WR's (two homerun receivers that fell, Dez, Lamb)
2 CB (neither earned 2nd contracts, Morris/Bryon)
2 LB (Parsons turned out more, Lve injuries derailed his career)
1 DE (Bust-Taco)
1 DT (Mazi has looked more like a bust)
1 RB (Zeke played like an MVP early on and every season got worse)

-A ton of draft capital within the OL, where their hit rate has been extremely high.
-Skilled, athletic positional players are highly coveted
-DL prospects have been more of a day 2 priority
-Devalue the Safety and TE positions

Not at all, great at OL/WR though.
The receivers were great because they were top 10 talents that fell. Who was the offensive line coach when Tyron, Frederick, and Martin was drafted. That has lots to do with their development. When was Callahan here?

Really think the moves on the staff were to upgrade coaches who can develop talent.

Byron earned a nice 2nd contract… we just weren’t able to pay it!

Interestingly, from 2000 to 2009 they did not draft a single OL in the first round

Over that period they had only 8 first round picks having traded out of the first round 4 times. Of the 8 picks, 7 were defense. 2 CBs, 3 DE, 1 S, 1 LB (Bobby Carpenter). Felix Jones was the lone 1st round pick on offense. % of those 8 picks made at least 1 pro-bowl.

The problem from that period was the rest of those drafts. Out of 19 players taken in rounds 2 and 3, only 4 made a pro-bowl. One was Martellus Bennett who made the pro=bowl after he left Dallas.
But we had a lot of stinkers like Al Johnson C, Jacob Rogers OT, Quincy Carter QB, Stephen Peterman OG, James Martin OT.

we're not good at rd1 corners...and this draft has some i like.

Might have to throw it out the window with a new coaching staff.

Taking an OLmen in the 1st would be a bad pick IMO due to the abundance of resources we’ve already put there.

I think you and I have agreed to attack WR early then go front 7.

I’m in agreement, wr seems the most logical 1st rd target
