    Just so you all know..

MOBILE, Ala. – The Cowboys are still trying to work out the final details, but they have zeroed in on Rich Bisaccia for their special teams coordinator job, according to a source.
Bisaccia, 52, coached the San Diego Chargers special teams the last two seasons after spending the previous nine seasons coaching with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Cowboys also interviewed former Buffalo Bills special teams coordinator Bruce DeHaven and former Tennessee Titans special teams coordinator Alan Lowry for the job. Both had previously coached for the Cowboys.

    From ESPN:

"From 2002-10, Bisaccia worked as Tampa Bay's special teams coach and has a history with new defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin and defensive line coach Rod Marinelli.

Bisaccia is known as a solid special teams coach, but the Chargers had three punts blocked in 2012."

I believe 2010 is when he left the Bucs. In 2012 he was with the Chargers who allowed the 3 blocked punts.

Bisaccia (pronounced Buh-sach-ee-a) was with the Bucs until 2010. The Chargers in 2012 when they had three kicks blocked.

There was a year recently where the chargers were top five or ten in both offense and defense but missed the playoffs because of historically poor special teams. I hope he wasn't in charge.

What a fantastic hire this would be.

Bissacia should really be a head coach somewhere.

The staff is looking strong so far and would be even stronger with Rich.

    ..poor offense and defense does.

Special teams doesn't dominate games as a general rule as they don't have the ball enough of the game.

It's all great to have a great special teams..but give me a good offense that holds onto the ball and keeps it away from the other team and a defense that creates turnovers and head-splitting tackles.

Special teams is for the guys that aren't good enough to play either offense or defense.

Play the game right, and the special teams are just icing on the cake. Play the game wrong and special teams isn't going to save your butt anyway.
