Good!! It's worth a shot at getting some of the $ we lost back. Just when it seemed as if he couldn't play a down last year, he somehow manages to play for someone else. Screw him!

Jerry might not know how to be a GM, but do not cross Jerry the business man.

“This type of conduct, unable to play for us one day and a few days later working out for another club, is undermining and needs to be addressed,’’ Jones said

And the facts as we know them (from the article):

Ratliff didn’t play for the Cowboys last season, rehabilitated on his own away from the facility and was placed on the physically unable to perform list. He was released on Oct. 16 and his representative, Mark Slough, held a conference call later in the day talking about the severity of the injury his client suffered a year earlier.

Seven days later, Ratliff was cleared medically to workout. He signed with Chicago on Nov. 2 and finished the season with the Bears. He signed a two-year contract with Chicago last month.

OK now, why do you have to bring up the fact that jerry is a know-nothing football idiot?
this is not the thread to go stating facts like jerry is the worst GM in football

if i were you i certainly would not say that jery should hire a real GM because that has no place in this thread

    just stop it

Unless it means more cap room, I really don't care.

Cap implications? If this is just money to put back in Jerry's pockets, I don't really care. I'm pretty sure that's what it is b/c giving back cap room would be a huge precedent to set.

I almost fell out of my chair laughing at the not-so subtle subtlety of this post.
That's two days in a row, I think you got me laughing and laughing hard.
    Nice job!

Exactly, does anyone know what the cap implications are if Jerry wins the grievance?

Any money returned would be applied to the cap and the precedent has been set numerous times already

Ratliff is a rat, but this is impossible to prove. They can harass him and make him spend a little money on attorneys, but it won't amount to anything.
