Here are some Whispers we've been hearing from our sources around the NFL:

    • The Cowboys are said to be keeping their eyes open for receivers. The Dez Bryant incident had no effect on this; the team had planned to look for WR help before he was arrested. With the injury to Danny Coale — the fifth-round rookie suffered a stress fracture in his left foot in late May that required surgery — and no clear front-runner for the third WR position, it’s possible that the team will add help from the waiver wire at some point during the preseason or after. Remember, Laurent Robinson and his 11 TDs were added last season prior to Week Two. If the right vested veteran comes along, the Cowboys could make a similar move early this season.

I can see us picking up a young guy who has some experience like how we did with Laurent last season. Well see some training camp cuts soon so that's when I see us making our move

There wont be a trade but just to play along detroit would be the most likely looking to trade for Jenkins since they Cut Berry. So Jenkins for Nate Burleson??? Jenkins for Titus Young???

If they do add a receiver, it won't be until after the 1st week of the season. If a player signs before the 1st game, then his salary is guaranteed for the season.

Yeah if they really wanted someone they would want them in Camp.

Something tells you that our WRs are already on the Roster.

First off Miles Austin and Jason Witten are elite receiving threats.

Got Holmes and Radyway if something actually goes down with Dez.

Then not unlike the interior OLINE, a pile of younguns, when the dust clears there will be competition for the 4-5 spots.

Besides, there are decent Vets that would ideally be learning the Playbook in camp and gaining chemistry with the Offense, it's not like all of the Vets available have locker room issues, WR is apparently not too much of a concern.

Their interest in Gordon in the supplemental draft indicates they are open to ugrading the talent at WR IMO.

That's the genuis of the Front Office raising his value in the supplemental draft to keep from RG3 and Washington getting him cheap.

    :D

In about a week you'll forget about any other WRs besides the ones already on the roster and making plays in Camp.

I fully believe it. They only have 2 legit NFL WRs on the roster at this time. One has been somewhat injury prone lately and the other is unreliable to say the least. After that you have Ogletree and a bunch of guys with no experience. I have to believe they are looking to do exactly what they did last year to solidify the position, especially if Holmes or Coale don't light it up and earn the 3rd spot.

Parting with next year's 3rd is the (value-wise) as this year's 4th. That would be just a round away from the injured Coale.

Then again, for all we know, Gordon could have come in and have been the 5th best rookie or 2nd year WR in camp. We actually know more about Holmes, Harris, Radway, Coles, and maybe Coale than we do him.
Gordon may end up being good, may not.
